I think the drilling defiantly makes the work blend into its environment, in this case a decaying building, and gives it a very organic feel.

I think it works on a more surface level too, giving the image a more textured appearance, while at the same time integrating the environment as Ronhill says. This is not my favourite example of his work, but I enjoyed the video and personally I think it is a strong piece.

Enjoyed the video. Vhils really stood out to me at Cans. Agree with Heavyconsumer the drilling just helps it blend with environment which makes you feel the image actually belongs there rather than just covering something up.

Unfortunately I have to let go of this beauty because the credit crunch also eventually got to me. And the bills still have to be paid.

I have kept it in an acid free sleeve in my portfolio so it has been kept flat in a dark space since I got it. I will post it in a tube.

I'm not one to criticise an artists work (normally!) but Vhils is one artist who should stick to originals; I've yet to see a print I like. This release doesn't do a thing for me - in fact, it just looks messy. So for that reason, I'm out

Pretty large edition compared to normal is'nt it? I like it but not for that money, just other things id rather by for the cash. Probably would of been tempted if it was one of the more simple portrait ones though, love them.

i totally disagree - if you look at his style of execution, you can see how talented this guy is. One paper he uses a technique no other artists has used before, on large original pieces, again a totally different technique and outdoors again a different technique. I think his prints are fantastic and you could in theory say this is an original as each print is unique
