DFACE SHOW - Lots of Pictures., by romanywg on Apr 1, 2007 21:36:20 GMT 1, Edition of 50. £150 a pop, I wouldn't be surprised if this goes for £500 being the first up. I remember the first Friendly Fire going for £1250 then settling down a bit. I'm keeping hold of mine!

DFACE SHOW - Lots of Pictures., by reados on Apr 1, 2007 22:14:59 GMT 1, I like the kurt print up for auction better than the previous image I saw of it with the yellow X through the left eye...are there different versions?
i think i posted the pic with yellow cross. it was sent to me when i asked a friend if he knew what it was like, it was definatley an earlier version d face produced rather than anything official supplied. hope it did not misslead you

I just read my post back and it sounded like it is my print up for auction on e-bay, its not! Just used it as an example of what the Kurt print looked like. Sorry for any confusion

DFACE SHOW - Lots of Pictures., by BK83 on Apr 2, 2007 19:28:43 GMT 1, Looks like it was quite a show. Although I must say, all this dead icons stuff is getting a little bit played. Bearing that in mind, the Kurt piece was actually really well done!

Whilst the Cli-Che print looks awesome quality, the Kant Complain is the one I like the most.

DFACE SHOW - Lots of Pictures., by Adam J Higgins on Apr 6, 2007 13:50:11 GMT 1, The Kant Complain was sold out within the first hour, there were even rows in the q because there were 50 prints and people were counting their place in the q saying they were only 46th so there should be some left!

DFACE SHOW - Lots of Pictures., by Run Pig Run on Apr 6, 2007 18:31:29 GMT 1, I went yesterday. I went in I was the only one there got round the whole show in under 2 minutes. Some really good quality stuff there, looks like dface has stepped it up a notch.
I went in to art republic after and was jumped on by some saleswomen, i couldn't move around the shop and look at anything without her trying to sell me something. gave up and walked out in the end. If I want to buy something I will make up my own mind thanks and i certainly wouldn't buy your overpriced prints, i'm not foolish enough to get tricked into buying a dan baldwin print just because it's sold out and could be worth more one day.

When I bought my Jack & Jill from Art Republic last year, I got quite annoyed by the sales pressure, and talk of investment, nearly didn't buy it due to the guy over selling it. I paid £500 for it in August 2006 framed, he said it will probably be worth £1000 in a years time, I bet he's wrong.

DFACE SHOW - Lots of Pictures., by Run Pig Run on Apr 6, 2007 19:51:55 GMT 1, it's nice to see them all framed up and on the wall rather than on a computer, but I thought to myself: if I hear the words 'sold out' one more time i'm gonna flip out and smash the place up, it's like going into a second hand record shop and being followed around and asked what you are lookin for.....I don't know thats half the fun, thats why i'm here! get fucked. I saw M16 assalt lolly there last year for about £200, I loved it and as soon as I got home i bought from POW for about sixty quid. fuckin good shop, but they need to chill out a bit.

Any idea how many of these were made? I saw some on a metal head I like... are they one offs or an edition? What are the prices on these? Thanks!

DFACE SHOW - Lots of Pictures., by romanywg on Jun 23, 2007 10:15:25 GMT 1, The ones you saw on the metal head were the ones from the exhibition. I just didn't get round to photographing them as they were surrounded by a queue for the print! As far as I know they were one offs and around £3000 each, could be wrong there.
