Decent new Shep' print under the radar?, by Heavyconsumer on Jun 16, 2009 2:04:03 GMT 1, At times I've fairly critical of what I've thought have been some very weak Obey releases over the past year or so. This time he's been no more original/creative than usual, although I think the actual prints promise to be far more attractive than most of what he's been churning out lately. I'm surprised no-one's mentioned them yet:
Screen prints, available in 2 colourways Black/Red and Black/Gold
$100 each
Editions of 250 each
And I believe they're still available from this source more than 24 hours after release!!!!  www.exhibitagallery.com/
Perhaps $100 is a bit steep for the $50 flipper crew!? Admittedly I've no idea how much shipping is on top of the $100. Certainly isn't much hype over in EB about these, but I think the source photo is cool (see in EB) and the prints could potentially be nice (not seen a decent image yet though). Any thoughts?

For sure! I just found it a little odd that these hadn't been mentioned, because as you say, the source photo IS particularly groovey and surely these are more attractive than some of the dross (IMO) that he's been putting out?

Great photos, worth checking out the skate photos slideshow. But funny seeing them next to the cheesy stock photo fitness stuff. But you got to pay bills.
But I don't think there's much excitement for this because how excited can you get when someone colorizes a photo and makes a screenprint of it? What's the point?
