Blek talk at Tate Modern ??, by daley on Aug 3, 2008 13:49:10 GMT 1, I went but got there late so the queue was huge. We were to busy chatting to realise that lots of people just pushed in when the doors opened.
Anyways it was pretty stupid of the Tate to have Blek's talk on in the small amphitheater.

Blek talk at Tate Modern ??, by mcnuts on Aug 5, 2008 12:40:07 GMT 1, I went. i'm franky surprised at the lack of discussion about the talk on here though, on second thought, maybe not.
It was ok. Rough was interesting to see speak and showed a good video of various pieces he had collaborated on. With a name like rough one expects someone rough not a slight figure. He told the history of graffiti from his involvement and perspective which is a good way to cut it given the amount of material to cover.
Blek was underwhelming and clearly didnโt have a talk prepared. The audience still liked him and when a couple tough questions were asked of Blek alluding to the repetitive and tired nature of his work, the audience jumped to Blekโs defence.
Overall, was a so/so night but the best part by far was the drinks afterwards speaking to the artists, other fans etc. So all in all a great night and Iโm sorry I cant make this weekโs talk.
