sorry, heres the truth, by and large it could have been a great event if it hadn't have been spoilt by a rather embarrassing greed of people trying to get......sweets, under the premise that it was a ticket for a banksy print falling from the pinata. I am not winging, if anyone thinks that it was clear that it was only sweets falling from the pinata then you are sorely wrong. had the russ abbot look a like stood there and said "hitting the pinata is just a bit of fun, sweets will fall, please pass them around so everyone has some, after that we will hold the raffle for the banksy" we would not be typing about the pinata thing like it was irresponsible. saying that it was a fun day out and the security guards should be given credit for being friendly and dealing with the p*ss head, it just could have been a little better organised.

I would have taken my son along no problem, obviously with a bit of common sense i would not have had him near the pinata. Had he been bundled aside then my issue would have been with the people that pushed him aside NOT pow

You think the urban art world is the real world? Some of you seem to want to sanitise this scene to the point of death. Perhaps we should start a petition to stop graff artists from painting illegal walls or climbing on high ladders/scaffolding/bridges? How about we force them to do a full risk assessment in triplicate before they do anything?

Funny - I keep reading threads about how POW are just a business now and have non of the 'grittiness' of the old days and yet as soon as something happens that might be perceived as not 100% safe (although I was there and to be honest it was fine), people start moaning about health and safety issues.

yeah right mate, i have been wrinting since the mid eighties, so dont make me laugh about knowing a sanitised world, pow are sanitised with a capital S. and so if anyone was hurt by twats at the pinata bashing - especially someone young who had been blind folded you think it would have been ok? probably do, but then you are so raw you only know an unsanitsed world, i bet you are living right on the edge bopping down tracks and yards every night.

sounds like a boxing day sale at MFI or a Primark handbag sale. I couldn't be arsed with it. Are the majority of people genuine, slightly mad Banksy fans or people that like making an easy £ or two? I say again - sell the prints at market value. Or wrestle for them in a properly refereed ring, in mud with bikinis on. It's the fairest and safest way.

Hey Billysport, just the way you worded it led to my response. Personally if my kid was getting trampled on I would be seething and very likely to start a row, but I guess it was an exaggerated explanation then to empthasise how much people wanted that banksy print, with the focus on a young child?
