Beejoir Oil Cans, by Grubster on Nov 27, 2009 20:23:42 GMT 1, This is bound to be a classic of his, next to LV child of course! Love SOS.. They are so spot on with releases and price to current market even though B has much success he doesn't tend to raise the price of prints very often!

Beejoir Oil Cans, by willywonka on Nov 28, 2009 10:09:42 GMT 1, Got one. Well chuffed. Think these are ace and love all the different variations, something for everyone.
In my opinion these are the only soupcans that have a bit of thought and ideas behind them. Not just a complete rip off of the warhol ones but changing the type of soup.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by willywonka on Nov 28, 2009 12:26:11 GMT 1, Thanks monkeyballs.
And on the turnaround, although there are some moaning about the service because they have missed out, you get nothing but exceptional service from SOS. They price fairly, keep the editions low and always try to be approachable.
The only problem is they aren't a massive organisation so haven't got loads of cash to invest in a high tech ordering system. They try and make it the fairest possible with what they have. At least they dont do "lotteries" where no one knows who actually wins and whether it is done fairly or not.
Thanks monkeyballs.

Beejoir Oil Cans, by willywonka on Nov 28, 2009 12:35:12 GMT 1, To be honest even if I do win one I will still think they are shit. There is just no transparency to them.
So what colours have people gone for?

I got an email offering me the colour I wanted. When I accepted the offer they waited an hour and then told me they didn't have it anymore. My print probably went to some "friend" who was a bit late in emailing IMO...
So, sorry, but exceptional service is not what I've experienced.

A real acquired taste for me....a little like marmite/Guiness...didn't like them at all to start with..but the garish colours..and less is more philosophy has got me hard....I like the taste & now I want more!!

Beejoir Oil Cans, by craigf on Nov 29, 2009 10:02:53 GMT 1, I like some of the colourways, but the image itself didn't rock my boat. I'm not going to criticise Beejoir or SOS, just recognise different things float different peoples boats. I wasn't that much of a fan of the Banksy soups until recently, would love three together in different colours, which may mean in a couple of years i covet the Beejoirs as well

Beejoir Oil Cans, by willywonka on Nov 29, 2009 10:23:24 GMT 1, Nice colourway. My new favourite!
I think it is the same size and price just a slightly large run. Probably looks bigger because the small image doesn't have the frame around it.
Love the new homepage. Jackie Chan rukes. Also like this from a framing idea:

They are all 45x60cm. The size is under the image when you click on it.
Think he has the colours on all the cans spot on. Would have been cool to have had 28 colourways... maybe a bit much though.
So the next release is likely to be some variation on this by mau mau...
