Guided Tour of Banksy Graffiti (& others) - Part 2, by HowAboutNo on Aug 6, 2006 22:38:45 GMT 1, Doesn't look anything like the same style, but thats not to say its the same guy with just differing styles.
I like both of them though, have still yet to find camera heads cos have just been a bit lazy recently.
And definitely want to go back to the skate park thingy too.

Guided Tour of Banksy Graffiti (& others) - Part 2, by mido on Aug 6, 2006 22:42:23 GMT 1, are you two sure it was the name d*base? I don't think it was. I'm terrible with names but I would have remembered that one surely ? (coz I know the CCTV heads is by him)
just a friendly discussion - she was asking about the tour and my photos. Thought tour was a good idea. Not sure she totally agreed with my photos, but compared to others I am trying my best to 'do the right thing' (telling POW/Laz about my photos & tours, hoping to get Arofish's 'approval', doing the tours and maps so anyone can go and take their own photos of them if they can be bothered to, etc etc)
And all publicity is good publicity in my book. Maybe I'll be a small drop of publicity that makes a bucket fill up....
oh, we also had to cope with skaters and cyclists who think they f~##ing own the pavements!
did i hear that one of those guys calls himself d-base . and just 2 add matin had a little fight with this lady lol, all in the name of art ha.

Guided Tour of Banksy Graffiti (& others) - Part 2, by HowAboutNo on Aug 6, 2006 22:54:03 GMT 1, I thought you were gonna come through and confirm it was d*base Martin, but it doesn't really add up I'll admit. (I sound like someone who knows!! I don't!)
I think the whole getting "fishy" about you/anyone taking photo's of this stuff is a bit rich really, and I suppose fair play to you for informing Laz/POW of what you are doing, but even they dont have any rights to tell you that you couldn't do it. (pictures or tours) ::)Just nice to know (I guess) that they approve.

Guided Tour of Banksy Graffiti (& others) - Part 2, by mido on Aug 10, 2006 23:26:14 GMT 1, that funghi pizza you had tonight might have had some rogue mushrooms in it ;D
Remembered something else. A small group of tourists walked past looking a bit puzzled why we were taking pics of the Mortar Rats opposite Houses of Puzzlement, and started signing "Ders ah raaat in de kichen whaaaaaaa ahm ah gonna do, ders ah rat in de kitchen". hee hee. Aren't flashbacks wierd.

Guided Tour of Banksy Graffiti (& others) - Part 2, by mido on Dec 16, 2006 3:30:53 GMT 1, If anyone is interested in buying my book, based on my Banksy tours and work on the locations map, please do, and thus helping me have more than Flapjack on Toast this Xmas.
Although it's obviously mainly about Banksy, 5-10% of it mentions other artists, including D*face, Obey, Eine, Faile, Space Invader, El Chivo, Arofish, Cept, and Blek.
You will also be helping the Big Issue Foundation, as I'll donate 20% of my sale price to them.
current ebay listing..... cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=120065647380&rd=1&rd=1
also on Amazon...
Just in case anyone isn't clear, it is at the printers at the moment, and I expect delivery around the 19th Dec. I am quietly confident that barring the unusual scenario of being lost in the post (or the more likely scenario that the address paypal / ebay gives me for you is not the address you want me to use..... you will be amazed how often this is the case), that this should be with people IN THE UK before Xmas. I cannot guarantee it (unless you wish to pay £4.50 for guaranteed delivery), but I think that with 1st class mail it should be enough time for this to get to you.
I think there is a chance (but only a SMALL chance) that it could get to someone in Europe before Xmas. I wouldn't recommend you to rely on the post system to deliver this as an Xmas pressie for your loved one, and thus risk the traditional Xmas argument when it doesn't get to you in time
Unfortunately there isn't time to get to anyone outside of Europe before Xmas. sorry. I did try my best to get it printed earlier, but it's been hard for all of us, trying to juggle jobs, hobbies, time, resources etc.

Guided Tour of Banksy Graffiti (& others) - Part 2, by mido on Dec 19, 2006 1:28:11 GMT 1, hopefully receiving them on tuesday, and I will post any ordered so far on wednesday, 1st class
the flyer came out well. most people in the queue were positive. a few were not so. rather ironic when I've done tours and location maps for free and I'm donating 20% of my sale price to the Big issue and 100% of the limited edition version to them as well (hope to raise about £3000 overall)

Thanks for the speedy delivery.

hopefully most people will have got today or tmw. a few stragglers were also posted today...
