I love my NW Ratatouille but looking at the offer on this board of an unsigned Morons in trade for one got me to thinking.......

Which Banksy's do you reckon would be a good trade for one of these??

the ratatouille is one of those gems so who knows. Would not judge it by ebay at the mo, everyone on here that was busting to sell it from this forum is now. Wait a few weeks and they would have filtered through.

Far superior print quality and image to quite a few of the unsigned banksys.

If i was going to swap it, it would be for an unsigned pulp fiction or something.

these are good up close and the varnishes and subtle tones make it a great screen print. Subject is great as well. Clean, simple and well executed so im not surprised offers of banksy unsigned are coming in.

Well worth £800 - £1000 around the price of an unsigned anyway (well the older ones)

I think NW Ratatouille is well worth a unsigned Banksy IMO
At present you could buy an unsigned trolleys for example for £500- £600 pounds!!!
And Ratatouille is worth loads more than that

If you are only interested in money go Banksy.

But to be honest you should decide on which image you like more. The Ratatouille or whatever you are offered. That's what matters if you are going to frame it and put it on the wall after all, surely?

I'm no big fan of Banksys prints but would I swap one for a NW? I'd rather eat my own bladder matey!

ive got the ratatouille in hand. and ive also seen alot of banksy unsigned and its far superior.

Banksy if your in it for the 'cash' is not a good excuse at the mo as the hyper inflated prices are coming down until after xmas at least. There is millions of banksy prints, my mums dogs cats dog has got one.

Walker - there is less of and are that bit more special.

What Bobby says about preference hold true imo.

Personally I'm firmly with Mike and Bobby though. The Ratatouille image is OK, but not as good a concept as the majority of Banksies imo and personally I don't think it would last very long on my wall, even though it looks nice. Maybe Jboy will swap you his unsigned Barcode that's on ebay! I would take the Morons, but not if you prefer the Walker image!

Let's not waste time debating who the better artist is or who the better investment is, that's an absolute no-brainer. Maybe Walker will make it maybe he won't. Just because he got away with charging very high prices while there was a buzz surrounding his work proves little imo. He has a great deal of work to do to achieve the recognition Banksy has. I AM a fan of some of Nick's work by the way, but I don't think the hype has been earned yet. He's done some great pieces, but he continues to pump out a lot of very average work too imo.

i dont own any banksies heavyC apart from a trolleys, dunno what your on about mate.

anyway, trying to provoke people aside heavy, i agree that the image is not as good as banksy - it never will be. But the fact is walker is now a proven part of the street art 'movement'. Problem is now - no one trusts banksy prints because of the prov etc. I dont trust them, the last one i got came with PC prov, which is the minimum you can ask for.

I would rather be in the knowledge ive got a quality NW and a quality print than some knock of nigel of a banksy.

As i said, any other unsigned apart from trolleys, grannies, applause or flags is fine. If you get offered one of those, especially without prov from PC run as fast as you can in the other direction running over all the other sheep.
