Nick Walker V for Vandalism, by dogant on Apr 10, 2008 18:57:23 GMT 1, Any guesses to the price of canvases? Not sure how much they were at the US show.
I hear prices will be at least double from US show = they need to be. The US do was a steal!

Nick Walker V for Vandalism, by snakes on Apr 10, 2008 19:24:31 GMT 1, I'm hoping for my first success from a BRP release COME ON!! Cant decide whether to go to the gallery and queue for hours or not now...... I probably will go and see.. if there is less than 75 in the queue then I'll do it I really really hope i get a Walker this time
if there are 75 prints you can bet they will be selling no more than 50 at the show with the rest having been ear marked by the usual suspects, tardis arts etc etc etc......

For the US show canvases were $2,500 to $35,000. Definitely a steal for those that managed to buy one This time originals are going to be £3k to £30k.

If babymoll was the new special print, people would still pay 650 to 1000 for it

Nick Walker V for Vandalism, by artstylee on Apr 10, 2008 20:50:34 GMT 1, At the Carmichael LA Nick Walker Show on 2-2-08 they said to show up at 8pm.
So I got there at 6pm and there were only 4 people in line so we had a few beers next door at a Thai Restaurant,
came back 45 minutes later at about 6:45 and it was still only 4 guys from out of the country and we still got the same place in line as if we qued up at 6.
So things have changed alot in 2 months? But still I Heard then that the line would have still been nuts in the UK though,.. and line was short only because the US $ was weak and alot of LA people aren't up on the scene.
As far as flippers, anybody who would get rid of a TMA NW print instead of hanging it is a moron. And doesn't deserve to posses the pieces for even a minute.
Didn't the Bristol and London TMA Print Cost $550, then the TMA Hollywood was $650,
Hope they "Keep It Street" (on some "For the People/Street Vibe") and don't try to jack prices on some academic Museum Fake Swoon, Faile, or Bansky price jacking. At least stay true to the price percentage influctuations from the last 2 releases which was "100 More Each Time".
Would be proving it's more about the money than the images contained within the art if they charge a huge amount. And No core street art/hip hop, b-boys can get at them if they cost Banksy or Faile prices. I know I can't swing that.

Nick Walker V for Vandalism, by dinomaa on Apr 10, 2008 21:07:41 GMT 1, Been trying to decide all day what todo. Think I'm going to sit at home clicking refresh all morning and if I have no joy there spend the grand on a TMA from ebay, rather than que all day for a print I have not seen, which could well be close to grand. Then go to the show later

If babymoll was the new special print, people would still pay 650 to 1000 for it £650 is a very high price for the print - £1k would be taking the piXX!
So, ebay has gone mad - I feel it would be wrong for NW and BRP to join in.
Thats my view - NW is good, but come on - up to £1k when 3 weeks ago a print run was £300.
How special can special really be?

Oh ye, NM original character study sold on ebay a couple of weeks ago for £7.5k - purchased from NY show in Feb for 2.5k US.
Sound like a bloody good flip to me!
The difference is bigger money = bigger balls = greater profit/bigger downfall.
