Does anyone know what price Laz is going to be putting on their Conor Harrington prints and what images they're going to be printing? Are they going to be as pricey as the micallef ones? Does anyone know when they're due to be released? So many questions, I'm trying to make decisions about what to spend my money on

I went to the new stolenspace gallery round brick lane at the weekend for the first time, and and they had a Conor Harrington canvas for £3k, which seems cheap to me for him, so depending on the prices of the prints I'm not sure whether to go for that or wait on the prints to come out

Can anyone help???

Very few folk know what Laz is ever up to, If you like the canvas then buy it, its an original rather than a print, if you dont like the canvas, wait for the prints, but if the prints take off, the canvas may well go up rather quickly in price, putting both prints and canvas out of reach, end of the day buy what you like, cause you may be stuck with it...

Somebody did post an image of the one they are issuing as a print a while back. Noo idea about prices - I'm waiting too!

conor harrington told me the prices would be significantly less than the originals so dont expect £4k prints straight off, maybe if he takes off.

I am only speculating but i would imagine the prints are going to be between £250 and £400 and they are going to be a small run of around 95 like micallef's early work.

What i would say is if you can afford the original then hell yea buy that - I unfortunatly can't afford an original but would love to have one.

you kind of know if you want to spend three grand the picture it will suck you in and you won't stop thinking about then you go back to the gallery to buy it and its gone, so you go for second best the print, at least you have something to look at.

thats one of my fave of his and the guy siting with the parker on is cool also, there is kind of an action, sense of movement with his print you can almost visualise him painting them.

I think some of Harrington's beauty will be lost with a print run, anyone who has seen his canvases will know that they are really chunky with lots of layers giving them a 3D quality. I just hope that the print doesn't look to flat and with it being only a edition of 50 there going to be fairly pricey.
If you can afford it get the canvas.

I'm thinking that the Conor Harrington LAZ prints, if the micallef ones are anything to go by are not going to give you much change out of £1k - that makes an original canvas at £3k sound cheap. Reckon I might head down to stolenspace for a final look at it and then give my credit card a hammering

I wouldnt be so sure - remember that they didnt sell out of all his originals at the show.

I agree with you that they will probably be worth £1k but with laz its all about the hype. Sure he could sell them at £1k and sell them all out in a few weeks or maybe longer but with his first print release they will be looking to stoke the fire and make a lot of hype over it, like selling out straight away!
