Beejoir Spot Canvases!, by gbh on Aug 18, 2007 23:43:04 GMT 1, I think these would have been better released as a print run. The "piss take" novelty hurts less after it wears off and you have only spent 75 quid. If I were to spend that kind of money on dots, it would absolutely be on a signed Hirst print.
Everyone, keeps referencing this Mondrian piss take in the thread: www.lazinc.com/artists/paulinsect/original-art/8/
when Insect did this in more direct reference to Hirst: www.lazinc.com/artists/paulinsect/original-art/9/
on a related note, can someone please get an original idea and stop recycling takes on everyone else's work?

Beejoir Spot Canvases!, by Coach on Aug 18, 2007 23:56:59 GMT 1, when i saw the dots at found i thought it was great - a fantastic piss take is what i thought. not however what i would want on my walls. so much more there that i would rather look at time and again. the lv child that was at found for example. when i went to the insect show, i thought the dripping mondrian was my least favorite piece (so much of the other stuff was fantastic imo). gbh is right - the orriginal stuff has more impact, and is what i want to see on my walls. the piss takes are, imho, great for the exhibitions, but not what i would want to buy.
