EINE..Victim of own success?, by Gurn on Jan 12, 2009 21:40:19 GMT 1, When anyone mentions Ben Eine we all think of his work with letters in various fonts in a relatively standardised format. We know about the shop shutters, murals and various letter prints/canvases.I think they are great and long may they continue. However it seems to me that when he tries something a bit different eg.Trains,Carebears, they are usually met with"I like it but prefer the letter stuff"...Do you think that Ben is therefore stifled creatively even though he is so obviously talented?

EINE..Victim of own success?, by BROOKLYNITE on Jan 12, 2009 21:59:07 GMT 1, Ben Eine is dope and should do what excites him... That's when the best work is produced. Too many artists are trying to play it safe right now. Forget the ones that want the same old stuff. Creativity can easily become stale for any artists when asked to do the same thing over and over again. It becomes a job after awhile.
