Paul Insect - Heads Up, by Lord Lucas Roham on Feb 22, 2008 20:44:24 GMT 1, www.picturesonwalls.com/Art_Artists.asp?Artist=Insect&Offset=3&PageNo=2
Just to mention only 3 of the signed Multiple Mugshot (Apricot) left on POW, there was 14 yesterday so if you want one I would be quick. A bargain for Β£75
Apologies if this does not interest you, I owe you 5 seconds of your life back

Paul Insect - Heads Up, by baracass on Feb 23, 2008 23:49:18 GMT 1, My boat gets floated by art that gets people talking. Dunce Boy Orange gets people talking. Everytime without fail. Cracking piece of art. Not quite sure why it's not so popular. An uncomfortable image for the US market? An uncomfartable image for any market I 'spose. Had some fantastic debates born of this image. Good stuff.

Paul Insect - Heads Up, by baracass on Feb 24, 2008 0:26:00 GMT 1, Very nice Paulypaul. Is very nice.
Insect is a clever fella. Dunce Boy Orange is one of my faves. Not particularly blown away by stuff with skulls and guns. And this is pretty much all skull and guns. But.....sh!t..this is an extremely strong image. Not one that you mum's gonna agree with, but that's a pretty good reason right there, innit? Great argument starter!

My G/f made me promise 'no more tits, skulls or guns...'. This is one of my few remaining pieces! Gold highlights on frame with black mount and gold underlay for impact.
Actually, just got Josh Keyes 'Tic Toc' back from framer - look superb (pics will follow) but bird still says ' I find the aligator threatening and bleak...'
Speaking of bleak, bonus points for recognising these lyrics (without using google!!!)...
Beneath the old iron bridges Across the Victorian parks And all the frightened people Running home before dark Past the Saturday morning cinema That lies crumbling to the ground And the piss stinking shopping centre In the new side of town
I've come to smell the seasons change And watch the city as the sun goes down again
Here comes another winter Of long shadows and high hopes Here comes another winter Waitin' for Utopia Waitin' for hell to freeze over
This is the land where nothing changes The land of red buses and blue blooded babies This is the place where pensioners are raped And the hearts are being cut from the welfare state Let the poor drink the milk While the rich eat the honey Let the bums count their blessings While they count the money
So many people can't express what's on their minds Nobody knows them, nobody ever will Until their backs are broken, their dreams are stolen And they can't get what they want Then they're gonna get angry Well, it ain't written in the papers But it's written on the walls The way this country's dividing to fall So the cranes are moving on the skyline Tryin' to knock down ... this town But the stains on the heartland Can never be removed From this country that's sick, sad and confused
Here comes another winter Of long shadows and high hopes Here comes another winter Waitin' for Utopia Waitin' for hell to freeze over
The ammunition's been passed And the Lord's been praised But the wars on the televisions Will never be explained All the bankers gettin' sweaty Beneath their white collars As the pound in our pocket Turns into a dollar
