Grafter charity print,....Update, by Grafter on Apr 29, 2008 23:43:29 GMT 1, Cannot believe these have not sold out? By the way Grafter are you going to tag the piece like the street piece? Never got answer about a little diamond dust?
Down to 11 left now. I was considering tagging them, Not sure if people would want it though. If general concensus is to tag, then it's not a problem.
As for the diamond dust. Probably would set production back too far at this stage. Was considering doing a few with gold paint though intead of white. I think it may be best to keep it simple to ensure I get them all done.
Mad busy @ the moment with this and trying to cobble some stuff together for Cans @ the weekend.
Be Lucky

I've seen diamond dust on a print and think it would be absolutely perfect for this piece - just one muppet's opinion! Pure Evil is someone worth asking as he's often on here and has used it one of his print editions, although I do take your point regarding setting back production, but perhaps it's an idea for a spedial edition of the image or indeed the main edition, if it proves easy for you...
Regarding the tag, I don't fancy a great big tag in the lower centre of the piece (as per one of those in the street on the other board), but a scaled down version, along the lines of the stamp on the Banksy stuff I'm down with. That way it's more of a sig' and less an element of the piece itself.

Grafter charity print,....Update, by Coach on Apr 30, 2008 8:49:26 GMT 1, I think a (very) small tag in bottom corner, as per heavyconsumer's post, would look cool too.

Grafter charity print,....Update, by mred on Apr 30, 2008 18:32:39 GMT 1, Understand fully grafter about not wanting to put production back but like another muppet said think it would be perfect for this piece
If not possible for this edition any chance of a special edition with diamond dust? If so can I be on list for one
Good luck with preparation for Cans and once again you are a diamond geezer for putting you heart and time into supporting a great cause.
Well done
P.S. I quite like scale of street piece tag but happy to go with consensus of small one but think whatever size piece should be tagged.

Grafter charity print,....Update, by funyoung on Apr 30, 2008 19:54:00 GMT 1, No idea how much you need / differences to be honest. Used for polishing/cleaning tools - industrial. Found it on some website. No idea if this stuff (it's about 20 microns big in terms of crystal - that is small!) would actually 'glitter' of course. Stuff on art supply websites is mere glass.

synthetic is lab manufactured, usually of lower quality, often smaller, but as it's dust your after that's not important. Natural is made from diamonds dug from the earth, which are more coveted and therefore more expensive in general.
I reckon the synthetic would do fine, after all you are talking about dust not a rock here, so no one's going to notice anyway. Saves on cost too, which'll be nice for all the punters on here.

Grafter charity print,....Update, by mred on May 3, 2008 18:57:13 GMT 1, See Grafter has been busy down at Cans, old man and Eskimo stencils so far from the photos on the other thread.
Looks like with support of the forum members and a cracking image this edition is very nearly if not sold out.
Cannot wait to get mine anyone had request for payment yet or will this come once Grafter had a chance to catch breath after cans?

Grafter charity print,....Update, by Grafter on May 5, 2008 16:45:21 GMT 1, Just a quick update for everyone wondering what's happening.....
I was well into production when 'Cans' was announced and I'm sure you'll all appreciate, everything got put on hold as I only had 5 days to prepare and get ready for what turned out to be the biggest and best urban art event I've ever been along to.
'Cans' was an absolute blast, (if you 'ain't been yet, get movin'. You won't regret it). A lot of people were very kind about my work and I was made some absolutely mind blowing offers. Thanks to everyone who took the time to speak to me. It was much appreciated.
Anyway, 'Cans' is now done and as of tomorrow I head into full production of this print. I know it's taken a while but they should all be ready for early next week. I won't be asking for anyone's payment until they are all completed so don't worry that you haven't heard anything......It's all under control
