Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by snausages on Sept 8, 2009 16:21:17 GMT 1, Also: Orders placed without insurance will not be refundable in the event of loss or damage. I'm not sure you can enforce this. Isn't it the shippers duty to ensure the goods arrive ? You should only do insured postage I rekon - solves this issue straight away Icono should insure everything they send whether they pay UPS to insure it or have their own private insurance policy.
If I pay several hundred bucks for something from a company and it never arrives I'm calling my credit card company tp dispute charges, I don't care what they say. Established business must have insurance policies in place to handle this. I've never had any bad experience with Icono, but on the business side of what they do, their policies and tone to their customers is not impressing me.

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by artstylee on Sept 8, 2009 16:49:45 GMT 1, Iconoclast editions put out an obey/2pac print that I believe was 350 or 500. Way overpriced. Iconoclast editions should rethink their pricing. Retail or higher is what I've seen from em.

Think it depended how quickly you bought it. Seem to remember they were very expensive at the end. c

Yeah am aware of that but i think they are just trying to hype it personally. Who in their right mind would pay that? I love shepard fairey and he consists as most of my collection, thats just overpriced. They are going for $500-$600 on the bay and even the 1st edition didnt hit anyway near the $2500 on the secondary market. Artificial hype IMO.

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by melmoth on Sept 8, 2009 22:42:05 GMT 1, I will be trying for this, but that insurance clause that iconoclast state is complete rubbish. If it doesn't arrive or turns up damaged, then they are responsible, and I don't see how the credit card company would side with them on this issue.

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by iconoclastedt on Sept 9, 2009 3:21:14 GMT 1, Apparently, we need to further clarify our shipping options. First, we now offer UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS. You should all receive a variety of shipping options when you check out. Insurance, while optional, IS checked as the default. So you must opt out of including insurance. The idea here is to give our customers AS MANY shipping options as possible such as vendors, delivery time, insurance, etc. Our goal here is to give more options to customers, so you have more choices. Believe it or not, but many of our customers have requested to NOT include insurance for their orders to keep costs down. So we listened and gave you more options. Also, and this is just something we thought we'd mention about how we go about our business, most of the time when a customer opts NOT to include insurance, we include it anyway at our cost -- especially if it only costs us a few extra dollars. We do that variously and occasionally as a courtesy only -- NOT necessarily every order nor are we obligated to do so if you opt out of including insurance, and we would not recommend ever ordering something uninsured.
Also, please note that Insurance is mandatory for all US Postal Service shipments. If you do NOT opt for insurance, you will not even see USPS as a shipping vendor option. USPS is generally the least expensive for overseas orders.
As always, if you have any questions about purchasing, checkout process, shipping, etc, please do not hesitate to email us at: info@iconoclasteditions.com.
Thank you.

The chances are very high in dropping during the game...If the password comes out an hour before the release, then I guess that gives some form of notification as to when it drops for sure...

Shepard Fairey - Soup Can III, by schlomo on Sept 9, 2009 18:37:06 GMT 1, So I take it Schlomo's print wasn't insured...What happened to his print? how much extra is insurance?
My print was lost mate, it never got properly put into USPS's system and so there is no way to track it. As for the insurance. As i said i paid for UPS worldwide express, which is an insured service. USPS do not offer insurance unless it is requested, and unfortunately my print was sent by USPS. Because i paid for insurance i believe Icono felt they should honour it.
As i have said before, i have had nothing but good experiences with Icono, and found them to be very helpful and polite. I am sure the system will work better now Fedex is an option, i would use Fedex over UPS everyday.
Good luck to all bagging this one, i will bow out i think, although may keep my eye on it just incase i can get it v cheap!
