When I messaged him about buying this pic in hte first place he said that it had been on the website (he obviously hadnt inspected the picture as meticulously as you guys), and that he shought it was genuine.

Even if you get your money back you have been the victim of a crime and by reporting it it should hopefully lead to an arrest and stop other people being scammed.
