Shepard Fairey Obey Art Prostitute box set, by Graffiti Prints on Jun 21, 2009 20:15:45 GMT 1, hi
i was going through my books today and found a Shepard Fairey Obey Art Prostitute box set, which i had forgot i bought in 07 and was wondering if it had much value etc as its beautiful but my box is gathering dust on a shelf so seems silly to keep it.
i would be interested in a swap or a sale but don't have a clue on what i can expect.
heres what i found out on the net.
To archive their first 8 issues and to celebrate the next evolution of Art Prostitute (the move to a biannual book format) AP teamed up with long time friend Shepard Fairey to release the definitive Obey Art Prostitute Boxed Set. These custom made literature boxes house all 8 issues, including the out of print Issue number 2 which is housed in a full color sleeve and signed by Shepard Fairey. The sets will ship with 12 flat, 15x15, full color, offset prints (issues 6-8) and 18 folded, 17x17, full color, offset prints, which came packaged with the earlier issues. Each box lid bears a limited edition stamp and is hand numbered in an edition of 100. This will be the last time you will be able to get issue 02, which featured Shepard Fairey, Isabel Samaras and Jeff Soto.
the 8 books also features and have prints by evan hexox, matt Hawthorne, will rhoten, jordan stone, dave kinsey, Shepard Fairey, Isabel Samaras, Jeff Soto, angela boatwright, matt owens, rik catlow, girl art dump, micheal & laura leon, david choe, ryan mc ginness, gary baseman, tiffany bozic, cody hudson, kozyndan,clayton brothers, seonna hong, brendon monroe, camille rose garcia, mike slack, justin krietemeyer & steven harrington, todd st. john & gary benzel, mike ryden, richard colman, erick swenson and swoon.
could post photo's but very difficult as i don't want to open books and get prints out etc as theres loads and books are in there own boxes and then all boxed up into one box but i will try if anyone interested.

a. get some good info on your piece; and
b. more importantly, you will get some good offers if you're looking to sell as they will buy ANYTHING with a Shep sig...
