Nice original piece. Have you considered switching the squeegee into a paint roller? Maybe you could try changing the window washer into an animal, like a rat. That would be pretty good.

Will have to do the shadows a bit different for the next versions! Got myself some semi transparent black paint today, think that will work well!
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

Whatson's Window washer! Aluminium version added!, by ricobenfico on Feb 14, 2009 11:21:40 GMT 1, The love is flowing for this piece Whatson. It is wicked! I'd agree that the shadowing needs considering, perhaps trying your semi-transparent paint or just dropping it altogether. The background is brilliant (and I'd keep the squeegee as it more original than changing it to a paint brush). Good work Martin!

I suppose if you're oing to have a dark shadow you've got to have a bit more sun on the blokes back. Might be better to forget the shadow altogether. It's a great piece. Nice one! Are you sure Jose Parla didn't help with that background?

Your best piece to date but..... for me the guy should stand out from the background a bit more. Either the background should be an explosion of colour and the guy in blacks and greys or he should maybe have some colour on his jacket. Only my thoughts.

Whatson's Window washer! Aluminium version added!, by wildbill on Feb 15, 2009 6:36:29 GMT 1, Really like this one Whatson! Looks great!
I was so impressed with the image that I didn't even notice the shadow at first. My eyes were lost in the details of the wall.
The problem with the shadow is the amount of white mixed in the gray. Its not a believable color for a shadow. A fine grit sandpaper is fun sometimes to lift up a little bit of a layer and soften up the line a bit, but you may want to practice on something else first.
Hope you don't mind the constructive criticism. This really is a great piece. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like with a little bit of that black.
Did you actually read this or were you looking at those the whole time?<<<<<<<<<<
