I'm really sorry to everyone who made the effort to make me some great offers. I can safely say that nothing I've ever posted on this forum has generated quite so much interest. It's been quite an afternoon.

In a couple of weeks I should be able to post the spectacular piece I'm buying with the proceeds and I'm sure you'll all appreciate why a cash deal was going to win out in the end.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately it may need to go back as the varnish wasn't dry and it looks like there's a glacier moving across it very slowly at the moment. It's currently hanging upside down to see if it corrects itself. No big deal. Varnish is easy to fix, but it means another few weeks without it

Funnily enough the lump seems to be moving the other way and evening itself out. I'm not holding out much hope though. Let's see in the morning. It's like having a sick child.
