Nick Walker • The Empire's State, by jonpud on Jan 6, 2009 18:05:56 GMT 1, Sadly I have to admit it seems somewhat expensive!
I could understand Life's Too Short being this price, an edition of 75 and the complicated printing process.
But having said that if this is an edition of 150 then it is only half the size of the recent Nola release, plus the quality of the print far exceeds anything that POW produce, god knows how many colors are in this plus it has a varnish finish.
Without doubt this is the most saught after/awaited Morning After release and so will command a pretty high price on Ebay, London Edition still sells for £2k+ I imagine this will as well!? Why should they sell at no money and let the flippers make a tidy sum, why not sell at a more realistic market price and try and reduce the amount of flippers after one!?
I am not stupid, I would sooner pay £450 obviously, I did expect this to be around £550 and have to say that I would be a little resentful paying £750 (If, of course that is the price!) But when all said and done I would still buy it if I could, great piece of art! Sooner my money go to the Artist than the Flipper!!

Nick Walker • The Empire's State, by graeme501 on Jan 6, 2009 18:13:49 GMT 1, well said PUD
regardless of initial cost price, if somebody offered the print after it was sold out for £750 then people would be biting the sellers hand off, why should the money go to the flippers and not the artist?
if u look at the nick walker print prices on ebay, £750 seems more than fair for his most sought after print

Nick Walker • The Empire's State, by BlackRatPress on Jan 6, 2009 18:18:38 GMT 1, we will shortly be sending out a newsletter with further info about how the release will work. I can tell you that I have no idea where £750 came from and its certainly not the price.

Really hope it's a large edition. Give us all a chance to have one and at a reasonable cost and will put off people flipping.

i would really like it if this one was about the price of a banksy print, since the economy has hit the fan...make it a big edition, so that they all get a bit of cash out of it...everybody is happy...except flippers ;D

Great idea but also keep some for people in the UK and/or non London who can't make the show. UK does not equal London although some people think so
Are there any problem with this, e.g. a screen can only be used for x number of prints?

I dont know how BRP would price an edition fairly using this method.
