POW Open Day • 2008, by robinbanks on Dec 10, 2008 11:01:36 GMT 1, 1 for Banksy 10 for POW 10 for LAZ 19 left.
You missed the 2 free one's off - that leaves 17.
Without wanting to bring up odds again I think the chances of these appearing online are slim to none.

POW Open Day • 2008, by James Smith 77 on Dec 10, 2008 11:16:26 GMT 1, The more I think about it, the more I have decided POW screws the fans not in the UK time after time. They obviously want outside fans but then so clearly discriminate againgst them. I'm seriously fed up and sick of this. It is 5:15am on the east coast of the US and I am up F5'ing for the slightest chance of getting a stupid ass Banksy print. One of the maybe 10 that MAY be released online at an hour that will no doubt serve the UK. F'ing

Seriously mate will you please stop fucking whingeing (or at least whinge on the whingeing thread!!!).
What exactly is it that you think POW and Banksy owe you? Because if you're unsure I can tell you - FUCK ALL!!!
Now give it a rest, please!

they are a UK business so why not sell in UK business hours, that's not screwing over US fans, it's just when they are open for trading. Bast does the same on US hours.

POW Open Day • 2008, by James Smith 77 on Dec 10, 2008 11:41:30 GMT 1, It's 5:15am on the east coast of the US. I have been F5'ing for the last 30 minutes in the hope of being able to purchase one of the 10 (MAYBE) "VLH" Banksy prints released online.
I have been doing this whole POW thing for a while now and statistically speaking they usually release prints when it's 4am on the east coast and 1-2am on the west coast. Giving obvious advantage to the UK buyers. How I would love to be able to stroll into work around 9am pull up POW and refresh...to see the newly released prints sitting there (especially the re-releases). POW gives us a Pet Store with some business cards to fight over. Don't get me wrong, the pet shop was cool (for a 5 minute walk around), but let's be honest, not exactly a momumental Banksy show. A print release there would have been nice (NOLA). They did do a good job to give fair warning on NOLA release day (I will give them that). They gave the world a chance to buy an image that means nothing to them. To most of the world it is a picture of a girl being rained on not a political commentary on one of the worst political oversights in history. The US fans did have a fair shot at these though. Them POW re-release the print at 4 am the next morning. Just in time for the UK getting to work. Turn on your computer, take a sip of coffee and buy a Banksy print (when all the americans are sleeping). Then they release a few more at 5am NY time.
I mean WHAT THE F? SERIOUSLY. They obviously want US fans to drive up prices and demand but POW and Banksy do JACK for the US.
Then this whole UK only "Very Little Helps" release. I'm sure POW and Banksy said "Hey...i have a great idea, this image really doesn;t resonate with any fans outside the UK so lets just sell it to our fans here". But I don't think they realize they did that for NOLA, especially with the second colorway.
I am just sick of this. I feel totally discriminated agaignst. POW and Banksy go hold your shows in another country. We are good enough to drive hype but not good enough to be considered when you sell your goods. You guys have become the system you so daringly defied.

POW Open Day • 2008, by pezlow on Dec 10, 2008 11:42:08 GMT 1, I do sympathise with our US friends who have to get up at strange hours to buy prints but don't forget there are plenty of US releases that UK people miss out on - the obama releases for a start, but also some releases from paper monster (the anthony lister release was at about 11.45pm) and numerous shepard fairey releases.
Also to remind you most of the morons release was sold to US buyers as the bulk of the release was sold at around 3am uk time.

POW Open Day • 2008, by James Smith 77 on Dec 10, 2008 11:50:00 GMT 1, I agree "Kepp Banksy british". Stop using the U.S. as a launching ground for your shows to drive demand and hype. Keep all future shows in the UK. That way prices will drop through he floor and your prints will be worthless. If POW and Banksy are going to use the US then count us in when making your selling decisions.

POW Open Day • 2008, by baileymontana on Dec 10, 2008 11:51:01 GMT 1, I live in the UK and don't live in London so could not get to POW Open Day, I could not afford to go to Santas Ghetto in Bethlehem, I could not afford to go to see the Banksy Pet Store in New York. I was working when Nola print dropped.
Come on POW and Banksy, please organise your next event outside my front door and give me first shout on all Banksy Prints from now, otherwise you will be seen as capitalists (unlike me on my expensive computer and my willingness to spend £400 on a bit of paper knowing it's worth 4 times that amount).
I don't understand why people don't understand if you missed the boat on Banksy back in the day, you don't have a right to get on it now.

Thats a great consulation purchase. Let's not offer any Banksy's to Americans...BUT...let's sell them these prints of fat naked girls.
For f**k's sake, I wish you Yanks would stop b**ching, Banksy is British after all! Sorry if we have a little more access to a British institution than you do!
How short memories are, all the recent major Banksy shows have been in the States, and have you forgotten the LA series of prints!?
And to top it all you are just listening to speculation and rumour, not ALL of the prints have been sold and I would put a weeks hard earned that an extremely limited number will be made available on-line!
This post isn't singling you out mate, I am reacting to possibly 10 whinging posts that I have read this morning from American's accross different threads!

POW Open Day • 2008, by origo on Dec 10, 2008 11:56:57 GMT 1, Come on, there´s no discrimination going on here, just a fun event for those involved in the UK.
I wrote about the chance of getting in the lottery (I am from Denmark) and I was told that it was UK only. Fair enough, there´s be more releases, you´ll get your shot.
How many shows do you think we have here in DK? I gotta enjoy most shows via jpg. or travel. This movement was created in the UK, I think it´s naturally for them to have some advantages like this.

POW Open Day • 2008, by James Smith 77 on Dec 10, 2008 11:57:12 GMT 1, Robin - your right. I know I need to get a grip. This situation just bothers me more than usual. I have missed the last few releases and just upset. But, I honestly think I am sorta right. I mean come on, how would you feel having to wake up at 3am to buy prints? My point is that I think POW need to adjust their offering times a bit. Think of your entire fan base.

Maybe Banksy should fly over in person and present you with a VLH since you have obviously been subjected to such intolerable pain and suffering at his callous hand... Think you need a reality check mate, i've missed out on countless Banksy releases but these things happen, I can still function pretty well as a human being without one.
