Help Me!, by victorwilliams on Oct 4, 2006 23:12:10 GMT 1, Im looking for a print that I think was or still is on POW (but not 100% sure) but I cant find it. It was tall but not very wide and brown in colour. Think the name was something to do with chocolate.
Can anyone help or am I going mad?

Help Me!, by Curley on Oct 5, 2006 1:43:19 GMT 1, In danger of sounding some what sexist but opening up the debate.
Its a really lovely print but some thing i personally would not put on my wall. To me (and this is me being honest & after a pint or two). Its very Laura Ashley and totally 1970"s however the ladies seem love it.
As i said its not my taste and i would only buy cos its goes on my walls (need bigger house) but some how I'm not actually surprised it's sold out so fast.
Peace C
PS have deleted half this message as i may already said enough.

I don't.
I'm not keen on her stuff at all - it comes across to me as what a 14 year old emo kid might doodle while she's on the phone to her mate.
However...
Give Laz a call. There was one of the chocolate pictures downstairs for the duration of the Stench show. I don't know if it got sold tho, but it's worth asking.

Yeah I noticed that you can still get the older prints from beat13.co.uk/Shop/ not that this helps you in any way ;D

Help Me!, by irf2112 on Oct 28, 2006 9:34:01 GMT 1, All 'artists' LOVE to be 'SOLD OUT' - i for one dont think all 300 flew out so quick - but once something sells out everybody rushes to get a piece of the pie. I'm not a fan personally, but if her stuff floats your boat it's all good. I'm not a fan of art that looks like its been made by a child. That's why I wouldn't buy any 'Daniel Johnston'. But then again I'm quite a slow mover - it took me ages to get a James Cauty.
Just for the record I would like to get something off my tits... I think Tracey Emin's work is overrated, pretentious and weak. I think art that grew from Saatchi purchasing it at over-inflated prices created a false economy. But then again I also think 'most' of the stuff in Tate is sh*t. For me art has to 'generate' an emotive response inside. Not try to be so clever by doing nothing at all. The half a glass of water in Tate killed it for me.
