How many signed Banksy prints are available at that price level now? Why would one from a smaller edition be avaiable for that price in Spring? I can see prices dropping, but not to that level.

Another silly NOLA swap thread!!, by Deleted on Nov 24, 2008 20:25:52 GMT 1, i agreed, the offer is good but the frames are worth a few quid, i would say the cash value for the three framed prints = around £1400 and the £1500 so that is an offer of £2900 a fair price, i think it will go for more next year, edition of 289 great print plus the Banksygate up is the only way

This release may have injected a bit of life into the market but the way the economy is I wouldn't bank on it lasting. Even though I quite like this print I don't think it will go down as a classic. Plus I'm already starting to get bored of it after a 68 page thread of moaning.

I agree with you g-man - prices are partly being driven by hype at the moment - plus no-one knows for sure whether this is the only release of this image - for all we know, they could release different colourways etc. What's the rush people; let things settle, wait until they're posted out and more hit the secondary market and then pick one up for less - IMO of course - each to their own though...
Love that V for Vandal dmf, absolutely stunning and an under-rated print - good luck
