I'll have a look at Fedex and some other couriers that may offer suitable insurance but if anyone has any good suggestions for shipping to the USA, please let me know.

Parcel force international datapost and global priority are both good, I have used them before but they offer up to ยฃ2500 insurance / compensation, works out at about 4 days to a US addy from the UK, which is good as it lessens the time its with postal services. Works out at about ยฃ80 for a print tube and insurance cover, but worth it from previous experience. Both are fully trackable and signed for.

Stop & Search - Good Deal Just had, by dkla on Oct 15, 2008 20:52:11 GMT 1, Hi silvermyn, I'm actually the proud winner of your Stop and Search. I hope there's no hard feelings that I happen to live in Chicago I'm pretty sure that Fed-ex will allow you to insure the artwork. But there may be a limit that we surpassed with this sale. Anyway, I'm here to help, tho you should contact me through my personal email account as I'm not on the forum often enough to ensure I respond in a timely manner. Thank you.

Stop & Search - Good Deal Just had, by spirit on Oct 15, 2008 21:03:31 GMT 1, Had this problem recently. Fedex only insure artwork up to a value of ยฃ500 (and even then by many accounts it's not worth the paper it's written on.) I tried for ages to find a third party insurer for Fedex but I couldn't find anyone in the UK - a few companies do it in the US but only for packages going from the US.
I think Weaver's Parcelforce advice is your best bet.

Stop & Search - Good Deal Just had, by dkla on Oct 15, 2008 21:11:28 GMT 1, In light of the above, it sounds like Parcelforce is a great option for silvermyn. (I think I've gotten Parcelforce packages from the UK for other prints I've bought in the past, so all of this makes sense to me...) Thank you everyone for the help
