Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by rosstierney on Oct 3, 2008 15:13:16 GMT 1, Wonder if they'll release the rest of the dface vs superman pieces as prints to make the story.
i hope not
this would have been much better as a giclee, capturing the original comic book background which wasn't possible with screening
a fuck,s**t, up! giclee would be my preferred print

Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by gbh on Oct 3, 2008 15:35:51 GMT 1, dude seriously... I thought even the secret squirrel flippers would be too embarrassed to blatantly do this in these forums...
oh my, how times have changed...
bugger off back to ebay.
MJ, you've been here a year or so, surely you knew you'd take a massive flogging over offering this print when it's straight off the press? no? troll?

Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by Heavyconsumer on Oct 3, 2008 15:38:41 GMT 1, have been collecting street art for over 8 years now and this was my 1st time trying to sell something from my collection. Anyway at the end of the day his up to me to do whatever I want with what I purchase
Of course you can do what you want with it mate, but why not call a spade a spade, you bought it to sell it or you wouldn't be offering it up the next day. You even got to see in in person before deciding to buy, so your "reasons" are pretty clear!
I think there is a difference between offering it up here (at above cost only) and putting it on ebay. IE.. you're disrespecting people on the board that may have been further back in the queue or unable to attend. You can't be surprised that some people may be a bit upset by it (although you clearly don't care). This method of flipping requires a thick skin!
FWIW, I hope these are as profitable as the "Street Improvements" prints! Personally I still just don't get the mass loving of most of D's work (this piece included - £450 seems pretty steep to me as it is!) but he sure does have a fanclub, so you'll probably make your profit.

Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by Heavyconsumer on Oct 3, 2008 15:53:10 GMT 1, it really depends on how many people bought this for their wall or to flip on, theres a good few on ebay at the moment, in a few weeks £450 might seem like a good offer
I think you may be right Graeme. £450 seems pretty expensive imo. I'm a bit surprised the cost was so high. I loved the concrete cans he did in the street recently, thought they were smashing actually, but I still don't get the furore surrounding most of his "hangable" pieces. If enough of these pop up on the bay in the next week, cost may well look like a good deal.

life's too short was selling for 2k+ immediately after the show then after a few weeks it dropped to 1k & now it's settled at 1.4k
if superman follows this trend, there's not much hope for the seller & a lot for the buyer

Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by dinomaa on Oct 3, 2008 16:13:17 GMT 1, If it follows a similar trend it will never fall below cost then!
Think a lot of buyers learnt a lesson from the life's too short ebay sales. Instead of diving in there on day one with huge bids wait for a while. Wouldn't surprise me to see that the price has already been set. Then again if a similar percentage were bought to flip you might be right.

LOL. You have the type of thick skin I refered to earlier and to be fair, you don't seem to feel the need to disguise what you do. You deserve respect for your honesty, but I'm sure there are other members who feel like Timba does. FX, in your experience, do you think there is a significant benefit (to the flipper seeking a cash only deal) in advertising a flip on the board? I'm of the belief that any members wanting the print will already have their eyes on the bay and will be unwilling to pay more than would be achieved there. What do you think?

Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by gbh on Oct 3, 2008 16:24:31 GMT 1, I'd say people should stick to their day jobs and let people who actually want the prints buy them.
Didn't Jboy start a board for flippers?

Very true, the difference hardly equates to much of a margin on an outlay of £750 and the loss of a night's sleep!

Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by fatherxmas on Oct 3, 2008 16:36:32 GMT 1, Consumer..Every print on ebay which has been flipped with 24hrs is a member of this site. Some people have the bollocks (not really cos youre hiding behind the screen) to advertise it on here. Every item ive every bought has been of someone else, i hardly tend to buy direct from teh source, so when i get called a flipper i would liek to think ive negociated a good deal and made sure theres a margin there for me but as i keep saying...The money ive made from this is pennys. I couldnt survive just doing this. Some people are just trying to make a quick buck and how thigns are in the economy that extra bit of money does help. I was just disgusting with soeone JSA JOB SEEKERS ALLOWANCE..How do people survive on 90squid every two weeks..If they knew a way of doubling it, you think they wouldnt?
With wat timba has to say...hmmmmmmmmm a brave cock..Someone thinking their either east londons finest or italian stallions. If you dont like what he is doing dont reply and let the message hit the bottom and go to the next page.
So many people are easily influence on this board..SI SELL OUT, PEOPLE SAY THEY DONT LIKE THE PRINT YESTERDAY AND IT DOESNT SELL OUT..WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU ALOT OF PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD ARE HERE FOR THE HEADS UP AND THE QUICK POUND..

Dface Ha Ha Ha Not So Superman Print, by Sundowner on Oct 3, 2008 16:57:44 GMT 1, Very glad I didn't bother queuing since 12.00pm yesterday to get a print. I rocked up and 5.50pm and got handed one of the pieces of paper (OK it was in the 90s, but still)......maybe a case of right place, right time.......
Certainly didn't expect to see four prints on ebay today (especially one at £1,250 (will someone seriously pay this, even if it comes with a free balloon and plastic card)......and then I saw how many Liberty prints were on there.........
Incidently I will be keeping mine for at least a few months before I try and swap for something else....unless anyone offers me anything interesting!
