Great story. Although interesting from a history point of view not a classic Banksy image IMO so if you didn't spend too much on it, then a good little piece. Sometimes the stories behind a piece can make the actual art more interesting.

Would be nice to hear a bit more about the history of the piece. Regardless of whether it's a classic image or not, there is no denying it was a great find!

Not sure if he did two but I know he gave one to (shouldn't say her name) a friend of mine that lives on Richmond Rd, Opposite the Cadbury. She had it in her window for years. I can't remember how clean it was, but I know she knows Acaris well (bound to be spelt wrong) so that's the story of this one.

Doesn't really help, but bit of info for ya. You need the 'story' to know its real. There's a story behind all original Banksy's, I suppose PC will be able to help.

I think it's probably the case here that not everything has to have meaning behind it. Take you for example, people probably look you and think there must be some more to you, but in reality there's probably not a lot going on behind the scenes...

So it’s the worst Banksy you have ever seen? So what! All artists progress and I think that having these early pieces out there for all the fans to see gives us a great link to his progression. This is still an original Banksy regardless of your opinion. Would I like to own it? Yes because I love grenades 👍🏻

From memory the Grenade was created from the very same stencil used on "Walls on fire" piece he created in Bristol many years ago.
