Maybe Im nuts, by ricosg11 on Feb 21, 2007 0:20:47 GMT 1, But why cant POW ship there prints wrapped in acid free paper that is BIGGER than the print. Every single print I order from other galleries comes this way.
The problem is that every print I buy comes out and hits the lip in the tube and puts a nice ding in it. Then back to POW for replacement. Ive spent as much on shipping to return stuff as on some prints. Its just not right when im spending $2,3,6,1000usd and they arent hndled properly. I mean I buy $10 prints that are better packaged. I just dont get it. And now after repeated send backs, I am going to pass on my infinate wisdom to the POW staff. Who I may add I am forever grateful for.
We will see what they say.

Maybe Im nuts, by romanywg on Feb 21, 2007 0:54:51 GMT 1, I have had the same problem. I spend a long time making sure there are no scuffed edges on the insides of the tube now before I slowly shake it out.

Maybe Im nuts, by tranceport185 on Feb 21, 2007 3:44:18 GMT 1, Huge problem I live in the states and far too often the prints get damaged. I mean spend a few bucks and correct the issue its very frusterating to wait a couple weeks to get a print then get it damaged for no reason other than negligence. Oh they will replace it but not after I spend another 20-30 dollars US to send it back. Hope POW is reading this great thread btw.

Maybe Im nuts, by corblimeylimey on Feb 21, 2007 11:41:16 GMT 1, A few prints I've received from elsewhere simply have screwed up tissue paper either end of the tube and that stops the damage you're talking about.

Maybe Im nuts, by hexagonsun on Feb 22, 2007 0:09:34 GMT 1, Eyestorm are like that corblimey. My print came rolled up in between a folded sheet of tissue, so even the back of the print was covered. Then had paper bands around it to keep it rolled and then big squashy bundles of tissue at the top and bottom of the huge tube. Could have wrapped my self up in the amount of tissue it came in.
Pow should take more care in keeping the prints un-ding'd
