original sale, by richy00 on Jun 10, 2008 18:59:08 GMT 1, cheers everyone for the interest, i never knew the little guy could paint so well (he is 5ft tall) untill last night. he has more works at the moment but if the interest is there he will paint more.. they are all along the same kinda feeling, he said to me is was a reaction to a pollock he saw if that makes any sense..
as regards to pricing... what would be reasonable??

see i love that, rather than sticking a ridiculous price tag on it let other people judge what it's worth. there's also no bush, bombs or skulls there so good effort

original sale, by richy00 on Jun 11, 2008 0:49:21 GMT 1, right the convincing has been done, he is coming around mine with all his stuff tomorrow. he has 3 of these all pretty similar in slightly different colours, and lots of other stuff similar, along with a fair amount in progress, ill post pictures tomorrow.
we were thinking about ยฃ300-ยฃ350, if this is too much and im taking the piss please say, but for the quality of the work and time consumed i think its not too bad a price,
lots of love richy.

original sale, by Montubu7 on Jun 11, 2008 1:16:17 GMT 1, You have a point, kind of, with regards to Cartrain & some others but starting out its generally the norm to build up both quality of work & also prices ( as market dictates)
Someone mentioned earlier in the thread for people to judge & pay what its worth so maybe thats a better option?
If anyone wants to make an offer on the pic in my avatar feel free
sorry to hijack the thread..........now back to normal....

original sale, by bostonlongstroke on Jun 11, 2008 2:23:23 GMT 1, I think this piece is the bees knees!
For an original, from a young kid with obvious talent that could develop into somethin' huge.... I'd say 300GBP is fairly priced.... from an upstart with SOME exposure.
I'm assuming it's signed, right?!
P.S. It does have a Denning motif to it.... However, I still thinks it's the sweet t1tties!!!!!!
I'd hang it on my wall without hesitation... PROUDLY, even!

original sale, by seidbereit on Jun 12, 2008 12:54:32 GMT 1, Very nice painting but 300 quid for something you just found stacked up is pretty steep particularly for an absolute unknown.
It would also be very useful if you could give a proper description of the piece. There isn't a single mention so far of what it's painted on. Paper? Wood? Canvas (stretched or not)? What paint is it? Etc. Etc.

No, it was not. I'm merely stating that people on these forums have an easier time with a 100-200GBP expenditure, than a 300+.
I think it's pschyological. Anyone and everyone wants to think they're gettin' a bargain. It's a strong piece, but it's still from an UNKOWN.
300 is not a bargain, for an unknown. But, the image/work will sell itself if priced between 100-200.
At 300, YOU have to turn into a car salesman tryin' to move a model from an unknown manufacturer with no public exposure.
If you were to get an offer from me, it would look somethin' like this...
'...I got 100 on it, all day long, right over here!!!'
That's what my offer looks/sounds like.
