I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by Montubu7 on May 30, 2008 10:13:31 GMT 1, Its a quick sale on the canvas but as mentioned it was nothing to do with a charity release, the print was released for charity & the canvas was an auction sabotuer release with no mention of charity.

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by jfury on May 30, 2008 10:24:08 GMT 1, maybe I am getting confused with the print then???...either way as the whole premise of the image is based on the charity it would be something I would have considered.

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by jonpud on May 30, 2008 10:53:04 GMT 1, . But in this case it was a "regular" canvas release and without sounding greedy i would like to expect more than cost price. Otherwise i would be more than happy to keep the Canvas.
Sorry mate but that comment does nothing less than advertise you as a 'Flipper' Makes my fucking blood boil that another forum member who might have wanted it and could afford it at cost has now missed out because you obviously saw a profit in it!
IMO there is no evidence that this piece is worth more than you paid for it, so the offer of buying it from you at cost + expenses seems more than fair to me!
Iknow the old JBOY argument that its your canvas and so you can do what you want with it is true, but doesn't stop it from stinking any less!!
Just my opinion!

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by savilerogue on May 30, 2008 11:32:20 GMT 1, From where I'm standing it looks like you bought it solely for the purpose of trying to make a quick proft. If it acts like a flipper, looks like a flipper and smells like a flipper then it usually is a flipper. Sale on eBay or not is wholly irrelevant. Hopefully people will see sense and only offer you less than you paid for it.

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by richy00 on May 30, 2008 11:32:49 GMT 1, whatever mate, your a cunt selling the grafter, why did you buy it if you knew you were going to sell it a week later?
i cant see anyone buying this when grafter still does commissions for what you paid for this.

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by jonpud on May 30, 2008 11:42:43 GMT 1, I have sold on here well below market value to genuine collectors, I have given prints away for free to some who wanted them on their wall more than I wanted them in a tube.
I ain't no Robin Hood, I just beleive in a shit world of greed and hate this Forum used to be an escape for like minded people to share in banter and have a laugh, sadly it has become a place of greed and hate, a victim of the commercialism of street art!
I would not have said a word if yoou had offered this up as cost cuz you overspent and needed to recoup some funds, but you didn't, you offered this at cost + profit when there is not even any evidence to say that this is worth more than you paid for it!
Good luck with the sale, I think it's time I cancelled my registration!!

I really hope you don't leave... too many good people are doing it (on their own or otherwise).
I would LOVE to see GRAFTER come on here and offer commissions for anyone that wants this canvas rather than seeing ruby profit off it.

It's not rude, it's the truth, sorry if that hurts. You bought this, and potentially deprived someone else the chance of buying it, solely to make a profit. You can make you're 'I'm not selling on eBay' protestations till the cows come home, it changes nothing. You're as bad as the rest of the parasitic c**ts who drag this whole movement down.

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by Montubu7 on May 30, 2008 12:04:13 GMT 1, You have to agree there are a lot of people who missed out on it so they will understandably be annoyed when its offered for resale very quickly regardless of the reasons.

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by rosstierney on May 30, 2008 12:24:54 GMT 1, rubyrubyruby is a cunt for buying it in the first place, not for flipping it. as soon as it sold out, supply & demand kicked in. there were 10 canvases but more than 10 people who wanted one. the people who missed out would be willing to pay an extra premium depending on how much they wanted it. if he was to sell this @ cost, what's to stop that person from flipping it? would you be willing to let someone profit from your success?

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by jonpud on May 30, 2008 12:54:04 GMT 1, Thanks for a reply without calling me after a body part. I will wait for another 2 or 3 days. When nobody shows an interest in purchasing the Canvas and i am finally declared as the C*#t of the whole, wide world i will take off the Canvas from this thread. It was never my intention to upset any members including the artist himself.
I did not call you a cunt nor would I (i detest the word) I did however liken you to a flipper! Take strength that both c**t and flippers have their uses!! ;D
It's simple, if you didn't want the canvas you shouldn't have bought it in the first place, you should have left it for someone who was gonna put it on their wall and love owning it!
No more to say on the subject, I hope someone gets it who wanted it, I have the print, it's a lovely image and compliments Jef Aerosols 'Sitting Boy' very nicely!

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by rosstierney on May 30, 2008 13:05:52 GMT 1, Now there is the chance for somebody to buy a GRAFTER Canvas and if it triples in price in a year or so and that person would sell it because the demand is there he wouldnt sell out because he kept it for a year?
there's a difference. he would of had it on his wall for a year, not a week. that's on the basis your photo isn't staged.
How do you think it is possible for POW to organize an Event in Bethlehem ? They sell Art with a profit ! And everyone who is willing to pay the price is more than welcome to support their effort.
please don't compare yourself to pow
I am about to buy a comission work from an unknown artist and therefore the GRAFTER has sadly to go so i can pay the artist cash.
for all we know, you had this commission lined up prior to buying the grafter canvas

Your post was :
if you want a commission pm grafter, im sure he would be happy to help out..
The thread is about this specific image hence me asking
So he will produce more of this image on canvas to satisfy demand? Thats slightly concerning, clarification anyone?
Note the question marks on seeking clarification, in isolation your post reads as he will be happy to help out on this image/commisson of this image/recommission of this image.

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by Heavyconsumer on May 31, 2008 5:48:07 GMT 1, I don't know Rubyrubyruby in person, but I thought one or two of you on the thread may be interested to hear that I have had an extremely positive experience regarding this person's generosity - he/she was donating art to a charitable cause recently and even went so far as to offer me a piece, for nothing in return, I simply PMed an address to help out. That would suggest to me that there are other members perhaps more worthy of the selfish and greedy tags being applied here.
I admit I also find this offered transaction distasteful for a couple of reasons, but at the end of the day, I would guess there are numerous respected members who have at one time or another "traded up" in one way or another, although perhaps with less disdain for the art. I only hope Grafter doesn't find it offensive as I consider him to be a top bloke, deserving of a little more respect. SORRY G, IF YOU'RE READING, payment on the way!!

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on May 31, 2008 9:54:33 GMT 1, i think the funniest thing is that "grafter" is now an established presence selling shoddy canvas work for 230 quid.
think about what you are squabbling over people! where's the body of work done on the street to back this up? one poorly proportioned stencil of an old midget and suddenly BAM! "canvases in an edition of 10 from HOT HOT artist grafter"!
seriously, in a few years a lot of people are going to look at stuff like this and say "what the fuck was i thinking!!"

I HATE MYSELF SELLING THIS......, by iwouldfollow youanywhere on May 31, 2008 9:58:19 GMT 1, oh and to give you some scale, in 2006 i bought a lovely canvas from eelus for ยฃ200, even though at that time he had become an ESTABLISHED presence, selling though POW and getting his work out there and noticed.
dear god it seems anyone with a scalpel, some spray paints, GCSE in art, digital camera and a knack for self-promotion can become a "street artist" virtually overnight!
it's sad to see....
