I’d say the buyer was a red flag nothing wrong shipping in a tube. I bet the buyer will find some fault when it arrives.
The aspect I would challenge is the buyer's motivation for spending money on this poster.
It is not standalone; it cannot really hold its own as a work of art.
The image of a hand clutching some flowers is but one‑third of an artwork. And it makes zero sense unless the viewer is already familiar with the complete, three‑part piece the poster is referencing.
To my mind, that makes it a derivative and somewhat pointless waste of space.
Its value, at best, is merely that of a souvenir — for people who actually attended the 2019 Gross Domestic Product event in Croydon.

This was created as a screen print with coa as well, 1/3 the picture, it doesn't really work as a stand alone piece. There was an original version which tied in with Bast and it was quite powerful given the circumstances/his passing. The 1/3 of the picture makes more sense.

Wasn't it you who said that whatever the artist views as art is art?
Sure, it is only the fragment of another work, but that doesn't completely devalue it: - There is a rich history of taking symbols, objects, or parts from other works and recontextualising / reinterpreting them. See Picasso's series on "Las Meninas", for example. - Further, most modern artworks require some background information or explanation. So if the meaning of the flowers isn't obvious, there is nothing wrong with filling in the blanks. - Finally, there is at least aesthetic value in the hand+flowers as they are. Again, the history of still lifes shows that collectors value works for that alone.
Don't get me wrong, I also think that a LIITA print or the GDP triptych are the "better" works. But if somebody loves Banksy and cannot afford the just mentioned: I don't see the problem with going for this one. (And, please, don't call them "posters", because they are not.)

BANKSY GDP Flower Thrower Print, by cemltz on Nov 5, 2024 21:19:13 GMT 1, While I'm not a fan of the piece, I think a generalization that it cannot standalone just because it is part of another piece, particularly if only recognizable to people that know that piece ("IYKYK")...well, as Hall & Oats say...

Mmmmmmm Well, if you take provenance of the piece (hint, it was made in 2020 and the owner had received it "by descent" and auctioned in by March of 2021) and look at the charity being supported by its sale...well, fair to say it was not your typical random B auction piece...
