Did anybody else watch this on BBC2 last night?  More interesting than I thought it was going to be.  Available on iPlayer.

Yes, staggering incompetence all around. People were so gullible in thinking NFTs would make them rich but I guess greed takes over at some point. Just had a look at OpenSea and it's still a big thing by all accounts. Weird world

I watched it last night.  At the beginning, and since at first he'd raised so much for charity I genuinely felt a tiny bit sorry for him, but as it went on and the greed and basic bad business practice took over my sympathy waned.  By the time he was blatantly exploiting the artists work and faking NFT's while riding around in a Bentley I was shocked at his total arrogance and lack of any kind of respect for the artists and collectors he was ripping off.  The cherry on the cake was his last statement.  I won't spoil it for those that haven't seen it yet but If he refuses to learn any lesson at all from the carnage he caused and accept any responsibility then it won't just be the art world that exiles him. It's just a shame that so many people are now only interested in money instead of the actual art and artists that create the work. It appears so many just want to become mega rich overnight without any effort or appreciation of the actual art, ideas or artists behind the work.  I was going to say good to see so many familiar faces in this disaster doc but I suppose under the circumstances it wasn't really.

The strange thing about all this is that if he got permission from Lucas Films and all the artists involved, he would have kept all the millions he earned. And would still be earning thousands each month from trading of the NFTs.

It's a funny old world.

Basically it confirmed every negative thought I had about NFTs back in the day. Shame so many people got burned.

Thanks for the tip off. Watched this morning. It's difficult to feel sorry for anyone involved really, except for the artists. Seems the only ones who won were the lawyers, as always.

I remember going to one of the physical shows in 2018 or 2019. Don’t remember the NFT project.
