How’s everyone feeling about the roster of artists on this new Counter Editions portfolio.

I’m interested in the Nicholas Party but don’t have a read on whether his work has been hit as hard or harder than the rest of the prints market?

Yeah I’d say he’s probably in line with most artists when it comes to prints (his originals are still making big money) I’d say a strong print won’t break the £5k mark. I’m still a big fan of his. I love Bradford as well, her print market never went crazy TBH but I don’t expect one of her editions to sell for more than a couple grand unless it’s huge, really strong, a small edition or unique series. Jordan Casteel is an artist I’ve been tracking for a long time, she started getting really big results at auction a few years back, which kind of put me off, TBF she’s an amazing painter and I love her work, she’s with a medium size gallery Casey Caplan and in a few museum collections but she’s still young. Never seen any of her editions before so if it’s more than a few grand I’d avoid. Not heard of other two but looked them up. Both emerging artists you can pick up original for $10,000-30,000, not my cup of tea and neither have a print market.
If the whole set it more than £10k it’s over priced.
For Party $3-4k if reasonable size and colour is worthwhile
$1-2k for Bradford if decent
Others are a punt.

Quite impressive that Nicolas Partyhas done a print for this, and in colour too

Think they are all quite decent , especially the Party . Fingers crossed they are affordable .

I’ve just been checking out the recent Phillips auction results for Nicolas Party. £4k for this print seems like where it could / should be pitched, no?

I reached out and then was contacted by someone at Counter Editions - here's what I was sent...

Individual price for the Nicolas Party print is £3,600 GBP inc VAT
So with your 20% discount total price is £2,880 GBP inc VAT.

Nice print, but don't think I'll be purchasing.

He’s produced quite a few peaches works in the past including drawings and pastels. These murals were from Hammer Museum Los Angeles 2016/17

The original pastel is indeed Purple Fruits - no idea if the edition has the same name. Even more weird not all the fruit is purple.

Large and colour, but I prefer his black and white portrait prints... and they resell for cost, or less.
