Thanks for posting. Just picked up a standard edition of this. Wouldn't usually go for Sweet Toof, which is why I no doubt missed this on release, but have been wanting a spray can piece for a few months.

And on this particular occasion, I must admit being pleasantly surprised:

The composition of the art is strong. There is a feeling of coherence to the piece. Also, at least for once, the subject matter is intriguingly ambiguous — susceptible to a variety of different interpretations by the viewer, rather than simply being obvious and/or inane.

Seems a bit crazy, when you think about it.

That album (along with its cover art) was released just over four decades ago — meaning Mr Doodle must now be in his mid- or late 50s, at the very youngest.

But I've actually seen the artist painting in the streets of London. And in person, he genuinely looks like he's only in his late 20s or early 30s.

What's his secret? The guy couldn't be a friggin' vampire, could he?



Shame I only appreciate his old stuff, though. He had so much promise when he was young.

I suppose many of us do become insipid in our output with age.

As the spirit wanes, the form appears.

Below is a photo of my black and white stickers. As far as I know, the Intercoat backing are the earlier versions. The ones where the sticker is cut out with the curved corners should have the Intercoat backing to be genuine.

The ones that some others have where you can see the backing are not fakes, but just later versions and the back is plain.



For prices, they seem to be listed anywhere between £25 to £150.
