Posting again so apologies as it’s in the latest purchase thread but this Ruscha 1970 print was my cheapest and favourite purchase of 2023

Without wanting to be off-putting, complaining, boring, moaning again, I'm going to start with the only two prints that I wanted and that I didn't get (apart from where I think.. :-)


Also my greatest acquisitions - and many many thanks to great friends from the other side of the Atlantic/ Channel - were the lot of Banksy Glasgow (this book! yum). You were Handsome !

My only purchase on site was this ” slate “ disc by James Cauty on L13. It's a magnificent object, and I find the idea very contemporary and unique.

Finally and it's not new I managed to get the Welcome Mat, but it’s not a surprise as it was in my head since years !

A few other prints (not many this year no ) would have been nicer but too expensive (Fragile by Banksy for example).

But the top two favorites remain the ones I didn't get (there's a film title about women (The Ones That Got Away)

This year it was quite easy to choose….
It is this STIK, „Atomic“, 180x180 cm

Hard to choose, but I was really pleased with the frame job on my little Paul Insect.

Second, I really was surprised by how well done the Rashid Johnson anxious print was (presentation, print quality, etc) was really great imo.

Finally, I got a small Keith Haring plate signed invitation from the “Dance on The Lower East Side” in ‘83. Love this one as it actually took place in our neighborhood. They come up for sale occasionally but I’m sure not a ton are still floating around.

Some really nice pieces that come across here. My favorite piece that I bought this year is The Banned Jordan by Nick Smith. I was looking for quite a while to purchase something by Nick Smith so happy I was able to purchase it.

Some lovely pieces on show from everyone, I can’t decide between my first and last purchases of the year. I was lucky enough to be picked for last Christmas’ RoamCouch lottery so bagged this lovely canvas. Then towards the end of the year a forum member was kind enough to help me out with a Paul Insect I had been after for a while.

For me it has to be this unique (in its colour) hand sprayed from Goin « Smelling Peace ».
Easy transaction with his team (accepted several payments and were very easy on all aspects).

My favourite was this hand-finished Hideaki Kawashima print. ‘Fans (Sakamoto)’. One of 20 unique, hand-finished prints (different portrait on wall in each, painted in gouache). I’ve been a fan of Ryuichi Sakamoto since the 80’s and he sadly passed away earlier this year. Released by Avant Arte.
