Every single person on this forum with an ounce of integrity will advise you not to purchase any of these off eBay (and apparently now UAS and Mason Storm 🤦🏻♂️🙄) For clarity we are not selling ours, as it was a gift all we were doing was showing the difference between a fake and genuine.. what ever your thoughts are, don’t care…. So, to clarify we are not selling our piece, and actually Mason is a lovely person….

I'll give you £100. But you have to get it signed by Mr. Storm. In red lipstick.

Banksy Placards • Wrong War & Bomb Hugger, by Jules Leotard on Nov 29, 2023 5:38:17 GMT 1, Because it came direct from Mason Storm as a Thank You 👌🏼 Oh, my mistake. I didn't realize Mason Storm was a link in the chain of provenance.
Do tell, will you...er...Mason being doing a release soon? I always say, "A good stir to the pot is necessary to drum up some business!"

Banksy Placards • Wrong War & Bomb Hugger, by reeder77 on Nov 30, 2023 23:11:45 GMT 1, Perhaps I'm mistaken, but isn't the obvious tell here that there is no hole in the cardboard? Were not all of these attached to sticks, as they were designed as protest signs? And the backing board used is incorrect for the event as well. Corrugated cardboard was used.
I know mason. I find him to be great dude (despite what man of you think of him). I've bought many things from him directly (see crypto crucifix I posted in the new art forum) and it's aways quality. So if he gave this to you then, yes, it's 'real.' I.e. its a real mason storm piece of art.
But its not a sign from the original Banksy anti-war protest to which I think you are implying.
Just my two cents.

Banksy Placards • Wrong War & Bomb Hugger, by Masong on Dec 1, 2023 1:06:00 GMT 1, I’m sure most of us can agree that this Mason Storm thing is all just a bit painful. Even if he did paint anything for banksy I just really don’t care.

Banksy Placards • Wrong War & Bomb Hugger, by Jules Leotard on Dec 1, 2023 7:23:59 GMT 1, I’m sure most of us can agree that this Mason Storm thing is all just a bit painful. Even if he did paint anything for banksy I just really don’t care. It's beyond painful. Not to criticize the "he's a great dude" post above, but for a moment let's imagine he has absolutely nothing to do with Banksy period. Then imagine, by creating a tenuous plausibly deniable connection to Banksy people are handing him piles and piles of money hoping to get a 'sniff' at something remotely connected to Banksy. Well, that's pretty abusive and no acting like your a cool dude is ever going to overcome that. Oh wait, we'll give it a pass with his tenuous plausibly deniable connection with mental health issues. End of the story, its not okay. There are struggling up-and-coming artists 'in the manner of' Banksy that people on this forum pan, BUT the big difference is, they aren't pretending to be something they are not. Mason has 'lifted' more Banksy elements than he was involved with, if he were involved with any at all. His personal timeline of development doesn't match up with when Banksy pieces were published either. Personally, I don't think he has ever done any art. I think he outsources it, ships it in, and bills it as his own.

I did wonder the backstory on this but it seems you avoided that question. Then said it was a gift from Mason Storm. Is the reality that it was part of the £250 secret Santa from Zebra One Gallery?

Banksy Placards • Wrong War & Bomb Hugger, by trickledown on Dec 1, 2023 11:32:43 GMT 1, Mason has NEVER painted anything for Banksy. The fact that he is generating paintings with MidJourny/Dalle-3 and passing them off as his own should be enough of a giveaway.

Banksy Placards • Wrong War & Bomb Hugger, by Boy Wonder on Jun 28, 2024 9:58:37 GMT 1, Hmm. I have done extensive research in these placards. I was lucky to be the buyer of the very placard that was on the front page of Basingstoke Gazette I think it was called. A protester holding the bomb hugger. I have a database with over 400 photos and I tracked down the protester who had the original bomb hugger placard. She provided very interesting information. She had changed her name bu the way.
And I have been asked by many auction houses on my opinion. Normally I ask them to smell the placards as most smell of paint....Sprayed cardboard dont smell of paint 20 years later....do they?
A few details worries me here. That the owner has four. Thats very unlikely in my opinion. Also the letter states that they were collected at the same march. My research shows that the version with the little "no" on the forhead was only used at the Basingstoke march. I have not been able to find one genuine photo or video footage from the Embankment showing a bomb hugger with the small "no". Going through ca 30 hrs of video footage from the Embankment I found several placards. One of them a large Bomb Hugger where the NO was sprayed free hand in large capitals. It was at some point sold by Lamberty London. And I actually tracked down the owner and tried to buy it from him. Nice guy but not for sale. I provided him with the video footage to support his placard. Man he was happy with that.
