Keep in mind a couple of things : 1. this started as a Banksy forum, so what do you expect? and, 2. many people on here have a good part of their art investments tied up in Banksy art - worth which somewhat depends on his ability/choice to continue with public installations. It has been a ‘long time’ in Banksy time since his last public ‘release’ - i.e. interaction with his fans. So maybe take your mean, negative stencil opinions and personal attacks to another site?

What I expect from Banksy is that he does the same on the Russian side, otherwise he supports the Nazi regime which committed several murders in Dombass before October 24.


Me personally, I was in Kyiv in 2017 I saw Nazis with my own eyes (Dynamo Kyiv Hooligans if you want to know).


The country was already at war, I saw priests with camouflage uniforms, it's funny, huh, the war had already started in the dombass unfortunately.


To go to the airport I call a taxi I start talking to the driver and I ask him if everything is fine at work he tells me I'm on vacation I do extra to feed my family I'm a general in the dombass .


How sad in Ukraine, so you go to bars, all women want to fuck with you and earn some money.


In the tube near Maiden Square there are small shops that sell everything.



Do you mind seeing Azov with a Nazi flag?



Banksy if you read this forum I hope you will also go to Mariupol ok your works are superb but the Russians are also human beings so think of them too.

I am the only one, not ‘people’ who addressed this.  Leave the ‘people’ out of it and address me personally if you want to continue to be a bully.

My personal comment was but a small part of a much larger commentary.  Should it not matter at all? Or should it matter but remain unsaid?  I don’t have the same expectation about art I’ve purchased after an artist has died that I do from Banksys purchased during his active public installation period - his interaction on behalf of those in distressing situations is part of his story - no? Is any art buyer that altruistic that they are, or should not, care at all about the value of any of their art purchases, as one of many many other reasons regarding said art? It always seems to be the ding dongs that take one part of a much larger story and latch on and manipulate a comment to affirm their mean, simple minded, dumb narrative. Cheers yourself.

Does tthe power sockets play a part in this piece or just coincidence? They are under the shower and just above the bubbles. My first thought was has the bath come through the ceiling with the material hanging down above, but don't think it fits a situation like this.

Spraycation felt like time had been spent carefully choosing spots and making the art. All these feel a bit forced to me.

Bullying? Hilarious stuff. I'm not saying you shouldn't talk about money - do as you please. What I find hilarious is when people fawn over Banksy like he's a god and then don't want to have anything more than a secondary school style conversation over the politics involved. If Banksy has anything about him then he will do more than follow the UK/US narrative surrounding this issue. And perhaps he will - that remains to be seen. 

Also, let us be clear, I have no intention of trying to "latch on" or "manipulate". These are exactly the things that I am against and which is what I partly address in an earlier message re. some retweets: saying one side is bad doesn't automatically mean you support the other side. It's tribal, it is tedious and it is deadly. Everyone involved in this, on a political level at least, is disingenuous, dangerous and motivated by something other than democracy and freedom.

Cut off hands, people out of proportion , overspray and lack of shading. That's all I can see. . 

You guys know I'm not a big Banksy fan anymore since the fraud , but I can admit if a piece by the collective  is good and well executed. Those aren't though. 

It's maybe a lot of works, but quality over quantity . 
If he'd gone out there, done a full size sideview of a tank rolling over rubble with a few rats sticking out the portholes and a big "Z"on the side with a big Banksy tag across that, it would have said more and had more impact than this entire set.

First of all- Banksy compared "sleepy Weston super mare" to Gaza when he opened the walled off. 

Second of all - I think you're talking about my husband, who has painted in Barcelona, Berlin, Stavanger, utsira , New York , Los Angeles and in many many more cities. 

It seems like in this forum you're not allowed to voice your opinion without being attacked personal. Fact is, all these pieces so far are super weak and again, I'm not a big fan of Banksy anymore, but I'd admit if a good piece shows up.

Banksy did what he had to do, what we all expected, peoples of the world and/or fans of the artist: he clearly expressed, honestly, with humanity and humility, his position in favor of the Ukrainian people, his daily life, currently, with stencils easy to understand, for the people and for the world, with always its dose of humor and empathy!
He did it on the spot in Ukraine in Kyiv, he attracted the attention of the media from all over the world and we talk about Ukraine and the artist, as a pimp of the Ukrainian people (as he gave and drew attention to migrants, Palestinians conditions, many times and in different places).

We all know his opinion now, he not only made an “ artwork for Ukraine “, in blue and yellow, warm from the UK, he took his stencils and his cans of paints and went straight to paint on the spot, in Ukraine, where the country is in war: Hats off to the artist!
You are free as the air, wonderful, daring and above all offensive and always yourself. The friend of ordinary people.
