My first response is that it's not by Banksy.
The first one, I don't like the composition, being off the ground level like that? I'm not sure Banksy would place it like that? But the quality of the stencil looks right, so maybe somebody else put it up? Banksy maybe sent the stencil there for another artist to place?
The second one just seems weak, and the stenciling a bit too simple. But I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Yeah, Unlikely.
If these turn out to be by Banksy, as I said earlier, I would suspect he sent the stencils to a friendly local artist, and got him to put them up. That would explain the unbanksy like composition.

Kyiv is in a country at war but not in a war zone. Ukraine is a vast country and it is far away.

People still go about their business and things are open as normal amongst power outages.

The tricky bit would be him entering the country - maybe as a donation van?

The shading on the Judo uniform, particularly the upper body reminds me of the shading on recent hand painted rats

With the right knowledge and guidance I’m sure he’s just fine. Surprised to see feet personally but maybe he’s pushed the boat out this time. I think they are both genius pieces.  The use of the anti tank mine for the seesaw is very Banksy and the Judo Putin is absolutely spot on.

Remember we had Nazi's openly marching in the streets and in governent in the UK shortly before war broke out with Germany., Oswald Mosley and his brown shirts had a lot of support. A rudiementary knowledge of US and UK politics shows there was and still is support for fascists, only I guess without the insignia these days. Perhaps it's wise to keep this in mind in order to revisit it post war.

How so, we're discussing the content and context of Banksy's latest work in Ukraine and how for example, artists creating anti-nazi, anti-war and anti-Hitler art during the second world war didn't mean that there wasn't support for Nazi's in the USA and the UK in the run up to the conflict. It's possible to hold two thoughts in our heads at the same time, in spite of consensus and propaganda from Governments that were and in a lot of cases, still are, receiving vast amounts of funds from Putin and his allies, the Tory party for one. :-) Political art will lead to political discussions, that's the point of it really.

It would be useful to remember that Zelensky is just the jester of the American Democrats who only want war with Russia and are using the most corrupt regime in Europe to achieve this and recover all the agricultural land in the country and return the Europe dependent on US energy.
It would be useful to recall that Zelensky suspended 11 opposition political parties and filled his pockets with money from Europe (Already involved in the Pandora Papers) after posing for Vanity Fair, receiving all the artists in lack of notoriety and bans Amnesty International from its territory because they contradict its version of the facts.
It would be useful to recall that Europe risks experiencing in the coming months the worst inflationary crisis of its last 40 years and that all this circus is maintained by a caste of incompetent European leaders and for some not elected (Ursulla von der leyen )... She even implicated in Germany for various cases.
All this is surely worth a few stencils.

You're right, Putin made the right choice to invade and kill thousands after appearing in Vanity Fair.
