Gary Stranger 🇬🇧 Typographic Street Art • Graphic Prints, by thewral on Apr 23, 2016 15:20:13 GMT 1, Well have just landed in Clerkenwell and London for the first time and discovered that Gary did his London piece on the side of the building where we are staying. Also Dan Kitchener's wall adjacent! Both great.
Missus would like the London print to commemorate the trip... And it's not often she initiates an art purchase. Please let me know if you've got one - any color way will be A-OK.
Thanks!

Gary Stranger 🇬🇧 Typographic Street Art • Graphic Prints, by Lee @ Global Street Art on Jun 7, 2017 11:39:23 GMT 1, To coincide with Gary Stranger & Pref's recent mural in Crystal Palace, we are happy to announce limited edition prints will be made available on Global Street Art's store, Friday 9th June, 5pm GMT.
In their original, clean-cut collaboration style, Stranger & Pref’s “10,000 Hours” piece showcases the artists’ skill for letterforms, something they have become recognised for in their work internationally.
“The concept behind the design of '10,000 Hours' is, put simply that persistence pays. We need to repeat a task over and over in order to master it. Natural aptitude alone is rarely enough for anyone to achieve the results they desire in a particular task. The idea that creating artwork is a journey, not a destination.”
“The ampersand designed by Gary incorporates two circles and mimics the figure 8, a symbol often used to refer to infinity. The floating layer of lettering, hand drawn by Pref reads 'Again', to create the perpetually repeating phrase 'Again and Again and Again and Again....'.“ Quote from Gary & Pref.
Alongside the mural, limited edition prints of the same image are being made available.
The main edition will run as 65 original prints in blue (£175), with a further 12 limited edition versions available in red (£195).
The prints will be on Somerset Satin 410gsm paper, sized at 76x56cm.
They will be signed by both artists, and will include a Certificate of Authenticity.
All 77 high quality limited edition prints of 10,000 Hours will be sold through Global Street Art’s website. All prints will go on sale at 5pm GMT on Friday 9th June at www.globalstreetart.bigcartel.com.
MAXIMUM 2 PER CUSTOMER

Yea I like his work too. I think I’d rather pay a bit more and have a signed one.

Gary Stranger 🇬🇧 Typographic Street Art • Graphic Prints, by Ken Hashimoto on Dec 12, 2020 21:27:02 GMT 1,
Hi everyone! I'm hosting a pop up show in NYC this weekend, if you find yourself on the Lower East Side today or tomorrow come by and say hello! The pop up space is at Rivington and Bowery (we also have a great Laura Berger show on view down the street too.)
For those of you who can't make it in person you can see the full Online Viewing Room here. Tap the Inquire button if you see something you like or if you have any questions.
Thanks and hope to meet some forum members this weekend!
Hashimoto Contemporary is pleased to present A Sign of Times, a pop-up exhibition curated by Anne-Laure Lemaitre in which 17 text-based artists reflect on our times. The past few years have been marked in part by a direct challenge to the value of words and the meaning they convey. We’ve seen language exponentially used with little regard for its purpose or substance. Yet, words do not only facilitate communication and clarity to others, but also the ability to detangle inner thoughts and make sense of personal experiences.
In this moment, solitude and the scarcity of human touch have made words as a means of understanding one another—and the world we live in—more important than ever. However, we’ve also been challenged in our trust for their ability to be an authentic vector of clarity and truth.
A Sign of The Times presents artists whose practice includes lettering at its core with the simple premise of freely exploring their relationship to this peculiar moment. Ranging from traditional media to digital animation and weaving, the resulting artworks span from intimate self reflections on isolation to outwards social commentaries. Their unique approaches offer earnest and personal contemporaneous takes on a confusing chapter still in making.
The exhibition will be on view Wednesday, December 9th to Sunday, December 13th at 2 Rivington Street, New York City.
Participating Artists: Vincent de Boer | Faust | Henry Harper | Georgia Hill | Elizabeth Johnson | Ben Johnston | Greg Lamarche | Chris Martin | Wael Morcos | Franck Pellegrino | Anastasios Poneros | Pref | Roids | Victor Roman | Gary Stranger | Trevor Wheatley | Zipeng Zhu
