Counter Editions new Tracey Emin prints, by ignition0 on Apr 8, 2022 15:44:19 GMT 1, Counter Editions is pleased to announce a new series of ten self-portraits by Tracey Emin. These extraordinary, intimate explorations of the self were recently created by Tracey in our Margate studio.
Each print has been made in an edition of 50 and will be available across three launch days:
Tuesday 19th April, 2pm (UK BST)
Thursday 21st April, 2pm (UK BST)
Friday 22nd April, 2pm (UK BST)

Counter Editions new Tracey Emin prints, by ignition0 on Apr 16, 2022 10:21:05 GMT 1, Looks like these new prints are attached to a new show at Carl Freedman Gallery in Margate - ‘A Journey to Death’. I wonder if that will help with sales - constant traffic through the gallery viewing the prints. I guess you’ll be able to buy them there as well as via Counter Editions.

7.5k each… That’s a high start price.. compared to 3k (or whatever) for Emin prints a couple of years ago!

I doubt artists at her level base their pricing on how much money they need to be honest.
I appreciate that there are lots of prints available on the secondary market. But I expect collectors will pay the premium for these new works. Also, it looked to me (from the photographs in the email) that these are quite large prints, compared to much of what is available secondary.
Time will tell whether they have been priced appropriately.
Sadly they are most definitely beyond my meagre purse.
