3 Beejoir Prints Edition of 3, by nacional on Apr 19, 2008 23:03:53 GMT 1, I am rather confused by the Beejoir factor.
He sells out in a nano-second but then few want to buy his stuff on the secondary market.
Answers on a postcard....

3 Beejoir Prints Edition of 3, by nacional on Apr 19, 2008 23:17:13 GMT 1, It's not as easy as that, as his work is not shit or else it would not sell out in seconds. Like him or not he is one of the hottest artists at the moment.

3 Beejoir Prints Edition of 3, by clappie on Apr 20, 2008 1:05:16 GMT 1, Your right Nacional, he is one of the hottest artists around, i think it sells quickly because he is doing something a little bit different to everyone else and has a core following, so it sells quick. Hes not big like Nick Walker, because the images nw does are too main stream, following a simple evocative british image with a splash of colour. Beejoir is pushing the boundaries and not trying to be inoffensive. I bought NW's recent airways print( which i love) and i showed it to my sister, who knows nothing about modern/urban/street art, she thought it was a Jack Vetriano print. I think that says it all, Beejoir at the moment isnt ready for your grans coffee table. I also think Beejoir is an artist that will mature.

3 Beejoir Prints Edition of 3, by chablis on Apr 20, 2008 12:27:45 GMT 1, I think you could give a bit more information in your listings, you describe them as prints, but they are hand written. Also are you selling the 1/3 framed editions? if so you should mention it. I don't think you will have problems selling them as the 'Famous for fuck all' and 'PR Shit' should appeal.

Since when were they all handwritten?

3 Beejoir Prints Edition of 3, by chablis on Apr 20, 2008 13:26:45 GMT 1, You see that lettering, that painted on that is.
These 'prints' are in reality printed background with hand finishing. At editions of just 3 it will make them some of beejoirs rarest edition pieces, and I am sure that will reflect in later desireability.
I will give you ยฃ300 each ;-)

3 Beejoir Prints Edition of 3, by chablis on Apr 20, 2008 13:33:32 GMT 1, If you are concerned about repeating this, I can post proof by posting pictures of two identical 'Believing Standard' pictures, but showing differrent lettering.

3 Beejoir Prints Edition of 3, by nickc on Apr 20, 2008 17:49:31 GMT 1, Ollie, sorry to go public on this but what is the point of having a PM conversation about selling these (which has been going on since the middle of March) and then sticking them up on Ebay? The last thing you said to me was that you were going to see what the one goes for on Ebay and then give me a price. In the past I have offered cash and swaps and been rebuffed but you've never told me exactly what you want for them. A great shame as you would have found me good to deal with. I wish you all the luck in the world with your sale and hope that you get what you want for them - if you can ever decide what that is.
PS - I expect criticism for posting this publicly but if you go back over stuff I have posted before on here you'll see that I'm not usually a moaner, you just happen to have annoyed me more than most.
