Well, it’ll pan out however it pans out I guess. I think the estimate is low to entice bidding. Nobody wants to try for what they feel is instantly unobtainable. I think it’ll go quite a bit over the high estimate.

Really sad how 1 single auctioneer can ruin the pricing/trajectory for an artist. Giving 15-20 seconds to bid when other auctions actually allow for about 3 times as long for bidders to bid. Just pointing out how some auction houses are not doing it right, making for shit results.

$15.5k for the print already?

I sent an inquiry to Blackwood to see how they came to arrive at that offer price. They “heard of” another one selling privately at that price so because they “heard” of one selling that high (without “seeing” it happen or being part of the transaction) $15.5k was the new ground floor price.

It’s looking like it’s still up on Artsy unsold. Maybe “hearing” of one sell for $15.5k was bullshit after all. I got offered a good number for mine. Not 15.5k but a very nice offer. I’m HODLING.
