I have heard that since Fairey prints sell out so fast on his site many re sell on the secondary market on EBay. Is this true ? Are the prints sold on EBay authentic ? Fairey doesn’t issue COAs so wondering what the case is here?

Yes many on ebay are authentic but there are also tons of knock offs. I am a very avid fairey collector so if there is anything you are looking for or ebay listings you are questioning feel free to reach out

The prints on his website still are all open edition offsets. Well there are some great images they aren't the best from an investment standpoint

Are there really TONS of knock offs of signed & numbered recent Obey prints? They don’t sell for a ton, are they really being bootlegged?

Not historically, and I don't believe now either.  I wouldn't touch Obama or Liberte, but other than that would be fine picking up almost anything on ebay.

There was one large format print that was booted back in the day, all with same numbering, but for the life of me I can't remember which one it was.  I do know that it stood out because there had been so little bootlegging of Fairey.

On Ebay I always look at the seller. Make sure they have good history and feedback - Look at past products sold so you can see that what they are selling fits their profile. You can always message the seller and ask for a copy of their invoice - I've done that previously.

You're very lucky! I've never managed to get anything on release - despite pre-signing in to PayPal etc. Maybe I'll give it another go!

Best advice is buy from me. I usually list things on the cheaper side of the ebay pricing and always willing to negotiate outside of ebay

Shepard’s signature has certainly evolved through the years but it is also extremely consistent given a point of time. If you’re looking for a 2010 print look at 2010 signatures and you should be able to have a comfort level that the print is legit, just confirm with the seller that you are receiving the actual print that is pictured in the listing.
