Albert, I'm guessing the QV was unsigned. What about the BH?

Thanks Albert. Remarkable really. I know it's still a huge amount of money, but it seems low compared to what some of the newer prints are going for now. BH a huge fave of mine. Would have it over cyw any day.

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by Unica on Jun 20, 2014 20:19:02 GMT 1, So one day after 3 Banksy canvases, 2 from Central Park, BOTI show and one Heavy Weaponry 2004 go to auction on 2 July at Bonhams, a very nice Barcode Leopard canvas is on the block at Phillips.
www.phillips.com/detail/BANKSY/UK010514/175
Banksy canvases seem to be going up and up, seems the whole world wants a Banksy at the moment. I shall look forward to seeing what these all fetch. I particularly like the Leopard although I would love to have any one of them.
I think a new record could be set for the Heavy Weaponry edition of 25. Plus with the story behind the Central Park two, I would expect those two to blow away the estimates.

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by samfrost on Jun 20, 2014 21:59:39 GMT 1, I agree canvases are likely to shatter records in July. The multiples/print market also seems in no hurry to take a breather, but will likely be the first to pop. Judging by the activity on the boards lately, we seem to have a lot of speculative interest.
Some thoughts to consider:
What would a release of 2-3k of new prints do to the market? New supply has been very limited in recent times. Might this change in late 2014? (Wishful thinking on my part for a new release)
How much will high profile forgeries shake out those speculating in the print/multiples market?

Phillips Art Auctions • New York, Hong Kong & London, by Unica on Jun 23, 2014 16:57:26 GMT 1, I haven't seen this piece before thats coming to auction at Phillips on 3 July, apparently is unique on plywood from Santas Ghetto. Has an estimate of £50k-£70k. So thats now 5 pretty high end pieces on offer at auction on the 2-3 July. I shall be interested to see what they all fetch. So far my favorite is the barcode canvas.
