NFT Art , by lv90210 on Apr 20, 2021 4:24:03 GMT 1, I saw an article last week comparing the $ notional on digital art NFT's for 8 weeks ago vs last week. They were down around 70%, digital art NFT's are the biggest scam known to man. I hope you lot haven't done your conkers on them. I guess the crypto investors are finished laundering their $? Who knows haha
Which is exactly what happened. Little spotty crypto kids in their bedrooms parking cash to clean it.

NFT Art , by walfredo on Apr 22, 2021 15:51:45 GMT 1, Nick Smith and Rhodes jumping on the NFT wagon... Nick Smith seems to become more and more annoying. As somebody with a few pieces it is becoming harder to enjoy them on the walls. The ego on a guy who pixilates other people's work is truly amazing....quite full of himself in the few interactions I have had with him too.

But to digitize your work and resell it... that's a low for any artist.............................. Where's your creativity. It's your livelihood to create. You're just embarrassing yourself in the history books.

There is no support for it at these high prices today. Again this was all for coinbase ipo. Bunch of Silicon Valley dude made a billion off of everyone.

Essentially someone has worked out how to create an NFT in someone else's wallet - and then assign it to someone else. In doing so it looks like a legitimate NFT through the block chain.
So he created an NFT for the $69 Million Beeple which links back to Beeple in the blockchain.

If thatβs true, itβs a bloody disgrace imo. Owners of art by the worldβs great artists have a moral obligation to protect them for future generations

To be destroyed for this. Make your own screensavers and keep ya sneakers in a box and fuck off I really can't see them destroying an original J.M.B drawing, maybe something they picked up on liveauctioneers

Operative word here being disgrace and the moral imperative of not daring to destroy another artist's work or denying future generations their right to enjoy a piece in the REAL world.

NFT Art , by jimmyjam on May 8, 2021 14:16:48 GMT 1, Lawyers are getting ready. Getting the SEC to set up guide lines.
"NFTs have tremendous potential to revolutionize industries including, sports, music, and entertainment. However, NFTs do not function as traditional securities and do not fit clearly under the existing regulatory framework. We believe the pace of change must be tempered by the statutory duties of the SEC to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and facilitate capital formation. To help promote stability and innovation in the industry, Arkonis believes the SEC should publish a concept release on the regulation of NFTs that clearly defines when an NFT is a security, and what type of registration is required by firms facilitating the trading of NFTs. We hope that you, the Commissioners, and the staff find these comments informative. Arkonis welcomes the opportunity to discuss with you how the SEC may develop a regulatory framework that harnesses the potential of the industry by creating more transparency and efficiency."
