New Banksy?, by d.r. perseus on Aug 14, 2021 7:05:32 GMT 1, Ironically enough, Elon lives in a 50k fabricated home as one of the wealthiest people on the planet. ... At his spaceport where he builds rockets and spaceships
Being from LA, the wealthiest don’t walk around flaunting wealth. Yeah they eat at the best restaurants but as opposed to everyone else dressed to the nine… they roll casual. Hilariously judged by everyone in their designer outfits.
Let’s pretend wealth is a culture…or lack of wealth (Appalachian poor isn’t the same as Compton poor) though we both know there is no cohesive idea of culture around wealth.
The idea as brought up as appropriation is absurd. It’s like saying camping is appropriation of homelessness. Narrow and trolling nonsense.

New Banksy?, by Lroy on Aug 14, 2021 7:20:02 GMT 1, Sorry for my ignorance, but
photo 1 : who is the statue ? Is he drinking a pint or eating an ince cream ? is it this pedophile that Banksy mocked already by the past ?
Photo 2. Was Banksy proud enough of this artwork as it's not in the video, nobody have been " helped " before to find it, or is it one made by a friend of him ? ( Or maybe made after the video then )... Photo 3. : what is this, where is the Banksy 's trace ?
Thank you

New Banksy?, by Lroy on Aug 14, 2021 7:27:07 GMT 1, Very pleased to ‘finally’ see the video. Aside from the ice cream statue which it seems everyone missed the other part I was surprised about was seeing the street blocks being broken for the sand castle piece. I was convinced it was already broken and B saw the opportunity to turn this into a piece. Never stops surprising us I thought the exact same with the sand castle piece. The ice cream and tongue were probably removed soon after. Some other photos of it may show up now that people know it was Banksy. As the little characters/figurines in front of the horse in the small village have been removed by Banksy after the video, or ... stolen

New Banksy?, by Lroy on Aug 14, 2021 7:41:53 GMT 1, Some people are excited. Some people aren't. Only because this isn't his best work. You seem very excited, keeping posting - as trolls - about your disapointment, your critics, your " multi bilionnaire ' obsession thing, etc... Your lack of humor is quite impressive and, you are very busy also, indeed !
So you are in the party innit ?
Those are ones among his best works ( makes me think a bit the Paris artworks, a bit of WSM too... )! Very funny, with irony and messages ( you don't read well sir, put magnificient glasses ) , keeping refreshing us ( despite all what we lived since 2 years because lockdowns etc ) , all the magie of Banksy !
And this video ! boom ! For me staying at home, it's like a great travel, I can smell the seaside, the beers and fish and ships ! And he loves kids, me too, we don't protect enough kids !
as wrote Nietzche “In every real man, a child is hidden that wants to play.”

Is the inflatable piece part of this? I can’t see where it’s officially recognised - sorry if I’ve missed it.

New Banksy?, by Lroy on Aug 14, 2021 8:09:38 GMT 1, Also a multi millionaire in his fifties driving around in that dirty old truck thing. Ok. One thing's for sure. Its Not authentic whatever it is. That motorhome is great! Automatic drop down step, ladder to the roof and even a dream catcher! You're just jealous. It doesn't matter what age you are or how much money you have or haven't got there's never any need to be a snob. Yeah, and this is filmed in low angle/big plan like the first scene of Touch of Evil with the foot of Hans Quilan ( Orson Wells, the cop ) out of the car ( after the long car sequence shot ) !
Do you know that it is the genius Wells that created this ? The big plan on the foot out the car ? It is the most taken over shot in the world in all films (gangsters, Morricone westerns, advertising, etc.) and of all itmes !
It gives body, trunk to the character without ... seeing his body!
Excellent since the first seconds ( the foot is just beforethe 58 seconds in the video but unfortunately not kept in this teaser )!

New Banksy?, by Deleted on Aug 14, 2021 9:24:49 GMT 1, Is the inflatable piece part of this? I can’t see where it’s officially recognised - sorry if I’ve missed it. Yeah, pictured on the Banksy website. Not sure when it appeared as nobody seems to have snapped it even though it’s close to the grabber in Gorleston. As for the statue, looks like that could have been the first? Reports say it was up on Wednesday 4 August. I’ve updated this if anyone wants a handy guide to the 10 Banksy: A guide to his 'Great British Spraycation' www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-58145220
The pool piece must have been buffed very quickly. It would have been obvious despite its size. It was buffed on Monday morning so I would suspect over the preceding weekend or even earlier.

New Banksy?, by mono on Aug 14, 2021 10:28:25 GMT 1, I drove there from the south and now really do hope it’s all team B , a collection of genius ideas being painted up in a matter of days. This was planned for months. I don’t have any doubt in any of them but with the time ticking could this be the biggest fake out there?! Speaking to the owner of the model village did send alarm bells ringing, he said the group of “lads” had a drone that they sent up as they predict the house was being placed. Apparently one of the gardeners took it down with a fishing net. What does keep my confidence is that at almost all of the street pieces I found the exact same white branded bungee clips that team B has used on recent pieces like the reading prison etc. Time will tell !
Yeah funny, that's what the gardener told me when I visited last week, that they'd pulled down the drone was a fishing net 🤣 Wonder if it effected the final cut or was on landing. Really nice chaps at the model village, very happy for them.

Just been told the village owners thought the little girl was a misplaced model of there’s and didn’t know till last night. It’s going to be put back with the model resited.

New Banksy?, by Discerning Eye on Aug 14, 2021 16:27:18 GMT 1, As far as this new set of work goes, I’ll just say that itmakes me happy to have more Banksy in the world.
Probably most of you noted this, but I’m just going to throw this out there - I was watching the video again and thinking about that funny little accordion cover of “Dance Monkey” as the soundtrack. The accordion may reference the accordion player of the bus shelter dancers piece. The monkey seems to reference B himself, I’m guessing. As I looked at the lyrics again, I thought maybe he’s talking about himself and how the public often demands more of his work and how he always has to perform for us, the audience. The pressure not to disappoint us.
Also, I didn’t know the song was written by a street artist, a street performer, a busker named Toni Watson (aka Tones and I) in Australia. So that’s another cool tie-in. Here’s some info I saw on Wikipedia about her and the song that I thought was interesting:
When interviewed by DJ Smallzy in July 2019 on Australian radio station Nova FM, Tones explained that Dance Monkey's lyrics are about the relationship she had with her audience when she was busking (street performing) on the streets of Australia:
"I wrote this song when I was busking, and about the pressure that I felt to always be entertaining people on the street. And if they didn't like it, when they looked at their phones they could just click something else; ... we are all so used to being entertained at the click of a button."
"So when you're [busking] on the street, .. to command [your] attention, people would be like: 'again! again!' .. 'more! more!' .. or they would just leave. So if you replace [the lyric]: 'dance for me, dance for me' with 'sing for me, sing for me,' it's pretty literal," she said.[13]
As far as this new set of work goes, I’ll just say that itmakes me happy to have more Banksy in the world.

New Banksy?, by artzhole on Aug 14, 2021 16:49:42 GMT 1, What exactly is "pretending to be poor"? Driving around it that thing. It's a cheap, old caravan. He's not poor. Sorry to break this to you. It's inauthentic. Isn't it cultural appropriation? I dunno. He should use his normal Tesla or whatever it is he drives in now. Why not?
Do you have the same opinions about music videos?...eg most of the rappers waving money & hand guns about ect.. is just for the video.
I'm pretty sure Alice Cooper doesn't go to lunch on a normal day dressed in leather with full face paints either.
It's a short film showing Banksy doing some street work in a classic Great British Bedford (I believe) camper van.
.... I think its great seeing clips of each piece being done especially the Reading prison one.

New Banksy?, by Winchester on Aug 14, 2021 16:51:19 GMT 1, I think you guys should realise why the market of banksy is crashing since months. There's an ongoing fraud and its not about who outed it, I just can't believe how people are closing their eyes to it.
