Anna Weyant, by Coach on Jul 15, 2021 23:49:29 GMT 1, Only recently become aware of her work. Like it very much. Suspect it’s out of my price range, but will be very interested to see what you pick up, if successful.

To avoid confusion, this is the B&P catalogue price from her last show. $30,000 48"x 36" oil on canvas

I was quoting the gallery price. Next time you offer someone a price, don't lowball. I only give one shot.

In your case, you came to me, I never advertised mine for sale. You needed to provide me a ballpark of what you were willing to offer. If it was to my satisfaction, then you get a pic and my price. But you refused. I know what I've got. Go clown yourself.

Alright Anna!
Look at her go!
I am feeling very blessed with my 48"x36" painting (NFS), while you chumps have to live with Edgar Plans (don't own) and Jordy Kerwick (yes, I own one, not proud, will sell for massive resale, just waiting for the right time)

The work is good, but she's very young and it's nothing I haven't seen before. But good for you.

Gosh, what will they think of Edgar Plans and Jordy Kerwick bagholders then? Gutter trash? Sewerage? Dog shit stuck on shoe sole?
I am pretty sure 48"x36" original John and Lisa owners did not spend low four figures like I did for my Anna. 😁😁😁📈📈📈💰💰💰

"“I’m starting to see a lot of resale,” she says. “Things that I sold 10 months ago for $2,000 being sold for much, much, much more than that. It’s hard not to feel in some ways betrayed because I feel like I’ve given up this thing that was very intimate. But it was in exchange for money so… I don’t know.”
“There’s this element of selling myself or selling something that is very important to me that then becomes a stock or currency of sorts, and I don’t have any control over it,” Weyant says. “That’s a new anxiety for me.”

It comes with the territory. I am sure a lot of struggling artists would compromise their morals to be in her position right now.

Looking the other way when the art they made to be treasured is quickly flipped at auction. In return, success and attention from the market. Selling a bit of their soul.

I think in today's climate it's more about networking and getting lucky. There are a lot of hacks that are having commercial success that shouldn't. Then there are a lot of talented artists that can't live off their craft and have to take teaching posts, work as registrars, assume menial roles in galleries and museums, become art handlers, or whatever low skilled labour jobs you can think of.
