SBI Art Auctions β’ Japan π―π΅, by esfer on Apr 26, 2021 4:15:32 GMT 1, yes, one of the most reliable for the Japan/Asian Market. prices on prints have decreased a bit during last auction at the beginning of the month but many artists like Backsideworks, Kyne, Tide, Kusama have gone to the moon on the paintings! Definitely an auction to watch for the Asian art market and artists
Did you see those LY prices? I was not expecting one of her paintings to hit 75k USD. Even the smaller canvas went for 25k. Makes those COA drawings seem a better deal maybe.

SBI Art Auctions β’ Japan π―π΅, by Cutkillavince on Apr 26, 2021 10:06:22 GMT 1, Yeah buying a piece from her is now impossible. Galleries have already created barricades around their vip customers. I gladly have a print and will stick to it as much as I can, even because it was the LA only, so ultra rare. πβπ»
Yes, crazy prices... Lucky to have bought an original 2 years ago

SBI Art Auctions β’ Japan π―π΅, by mvsk on Jun 14, 2021 15:51:23 GMT 1, Mmmm yeah good pieces but many prints on there are actually fake and/or not registered. Anything on canvas is factual but everything else I take with a grain of salt.

SBI Art Auctions β’ Japan π―π΅, by mvsk on Jun 14, 2021 16:19:40 GMT 1, Any Roy LICHTENSTEIN are insanely questionable; especially given the result price.
Ex. 1) www.sbiartauction.co.jp/en/results/detail/95/370
Ex. 2) www.sbiartauction.co.jp/en/results/detail/95/371
Not signed or registered.
Let me say though, many prints SBI has are quality and authenticated. It's a select few from what I experienced. (I also don't feel like going through all of their previous results to find more)

SBI Art Auctions β’ Japan π―π΅, by Poster Bob on Jun 14, 2021 16:23:09 GMT 1, I believe what you linked me to were the show posters issued by Leo Castelli's gallery. They would not be "registered" nor would they be signed.
Any other examples?

SBI Art Auctions β’ Japan π―π΅, by Pattycakes on Jul 3, 2021 21:24:30 GMT 1, I believe what you linked me to were the show posters issued by Leo Castelli's gallery. They would not be "registered" nor would they be signed. Any other examples? Images are missing, but, "That's the way" was a screen printed poster produced I believe for the Kunsthalle Bern, there have been a number of Brushstroke posters of differing images, Castelli did one if not two, there is also a fight against Apartheid one, and a couple of others.
As Bob says there is nothing to say there is anything wrong about these, actually quite the opposite as when you see them signed 9.5 times out of 10 the signatures are fake.
If by registered you mean with the catalogue raisonnΓ© reference, well, Corlett the reference for prints doesn't list many posters, there is a poster reference by Jurgen Doring but it's strangely not all that well known and clearly SBI don't have a copy, if you mean a certificate of authenticity well the RL foundation do not and have never issued certs.
