I think I just accidentally bid on a fake Fairey print.  They say it is numbered and not signed.  Anyone ever heard of this happening?  Also, we’re there ever pasters made for the “no, i am a vegetarian” that this might have just had the number added to?

Yes to both.. there have been quite a few unsigned but numbered prints surfaced that are legitimate. It’s most common in the late 90s /
Early 00’s timeframe but not confined to that era. I think it does effect value (my opinion), so take that into consideration.

There are also pasters that exist - the paper is very thin, almost like newspaper. You’ll definitely know the difference.

its possible it got missed in the signings - that happens sometimes

I have one of the very first prints on metal - it somehow didnt get signed
When i bought it many many years ago I didnt even notice, signatures and resales were not so much of a big thing back then

It has happened, it's pretty rare but not unheard of. The prints gets numbered in a full batch then signed at a latter time so its possible 2 prints got stuck together. The best way to verify that its a proper print is to look at the numbering on other "no, I'm not" prints and see of they match up, if they do its more then likely just a mistake (though I'm not sure if Shepard will sign it after all this time)

There is an edition of this poster that is numbered (#/10,000) but not signed.

Yes I had one once. He forgot to sign it. Purchased the print from his site during a old drop. They replaced it in a second.

Yea def, especially on the earlier ones, pre 2003. I have read you can send them in, and he will sign them, but I never followed up

Nothing to be too concerned about, it's a numbers game really. When you consider how many prints Shep signs a year there are bound to be the occasional typos.

I sorta think they're cool, I bought a mis-numbered War By Numbers years ago simply because it's an interesting novelty.

Yep, I got a Henry Rollins print a good few years back that was numbered, not signed.

If the print is a thin paper “paster” they are generally not numbered and signed. Some are signed but would not be numbered.
