Dont know what to think on this one. I had a copy of this once. sold it sadly but it looked different to this. Mine was a different green, looked much rougher sprayed and no where near what you would call crisp like the one on ebay does. Its hard to say if that makes any difference here as mine wasnt kept in a plastic sleeve, he may have run out of green and it may have been a later number i had when he was bored and the stencil was battered. Just buy it bearing in mind even if it is real it cant be proven anyway so theres not much difference.

I don't know why PC don't authenticate these vinyls. They are a small edition and individually numbered, so shouldn't be a problem.

They were given out as freebies to the mailing lists so they are non commercial release. Or something very similar.

Just looked, and yes, the green is for sure different on this one.

No way of knowing if its genuine, just have to look into the provenance and maybe meet the guy to have a chat before bidding.

If you want a more visually appealing record promo keep an eye out for the LIITA wall of sound from 2001, I picked this up on eBay last year with all the other freebies that came in the box. I met the guy first and turns out he was a big music journalist and friends with the record label owner:

I cant say for sure its not legit, but if it were me, id be very wary of it.

I was very interested in this record but at £3K+ that's a tough gamble. What issues do you see that could mean it's a fake? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

i had one years ago n sold it for about 50 quid to some lucky bugger. i remember it being a real rough job (slap stencil down brush lightly with spray, move on) no crisp edges not sprayed in a uniform way at all and a different colour. 

the one pictured looks very very fresh to me even the paper looks like it just fell out of a printer (not concrete, but makes me wonder) 

Also of all the ones ive seen for sale (mine got sold for 50 quid remember, i notice them with irritation). this is the only one ive looked at and immediately thought "dodgy". 

EDIT; all that said, google image now shows results for both colourways. Havnt done full investigation, but hadnt seen the colourway previous to looking today so not sure if it means its a lgit colourway after all or if there are some sketchy ones kicking about of recent.

I was interested in the record and have had a convo with the seller, I believe this item is legit. Apparently it's never been out of the protective sleeve since it was given to the owner who was involved with the Wall of Sound label.
Presumably the proof will be if the promo is of the Royksopp album Unfortunately it's now bid up so high I can't afford it !

Yeah I follow the bidding..
2 or 3 times for a poster signed by banksy one or sign roads( they never do usually ) , i asked Pest Control and they kindly answered me. ( it was for eBay auctions )?

Reluctantly selling this little gem as I need the cash to live in Australia while waiting for my work visa to come through post-VNA closure.

Sleeve is not in mint condition, as to be expected of a piece this age - some ringwear on sleeve and a tear on the front. Vinyl is mint, unplayed. Hand numbered 70/100. Original A4 info slip included in the sleeve.

Hand sprayed green Röyksopp stencil on the front - slight smudge from Mr. B's grubby finger smearing the spray paint on the end 'P' (not clear enough fingerprint to ID him down the Daily Mail HQ though, I'm afraid)

Happy to answer your questions. I have a solid pedigree of personal contacts to back up this genuine piece, but as it's not strictly a Banksy art release, Pest Control won't verify or provide COA. I had the verification request fast-tracked through a friend and the official email back was: 'These are not eligible for authentication as they were not created with the intention of being commercial works of art.'

Still, it's a great piece of history and there's not many around. I will ship worldwide with insurance and tracking at the buyer's expense.

Price is £8000GBP + Postage.

There's fakes of these, and seller even says they bought it off ebay themselves. Be wary!

EDIT: I suppose the white label vinyl itself would be harder to fake!?? Unless these are available more easily than I know.

I have seen a couple of these in the flesh in this looks fake to me.

I am 100% sure this is a fake and not genuine.

The letters O S and P look shit...Why? They all have bends in the letters and this is hard to cut if you don't know what you are doing.
This was cut by someone who does not have any experience using a cutting blade.
