A dear friend of mine has just purchased this amazing piece by the Spanish duo Pichi & Avo ("Tenedor, plato, cuchillo" mixed media on canvas, 100 x 81)


The Spanish duo is active on the walls of Europe with a mix of graffiti and hyperrealistic styles.

Pichiavo, Pixavi5 Gandia 2015

Spanish duo Pichi&Avo have just completed another masterpiece at the Pixavi Festival in Gandia, Valencia which was organised by Monduber gallery.

The greek hero Perseus was decorated using silver and gold tones by Montana colours and I think you will agree this piece is pretty special.

incredible.
Their work strangely brings me back to being a kid in Los Angeles. As the works produced on the freeways for the Olympics were slowly worked over, something emerged that was different and yet still in  the spirit of LA at the time. 

It still pains me to see those same walls empty now as the city didn't want to maintain them (I think). 

I look forward to one day getting one of Pichiavo's pieces on my wall.

Too expensive. Been in Wynwood and they were selling for 250 an artwork which was actually prettier than this one.

Thanks to all who have expressed interest in this release and have been in touch with us.

This print has been in the making for over six months now, and involved numerous studio visits to London from artist duo PichiAvo who we worked closely with to produce their first ever hand finished print with golden paints for the highlights and 24 carat gold leaf (their trademark light bulb and other areas)

The 'Perseus' print is based on one of the murals they did in their home town Valencia.







It was really difficult to capture the gold in just one product image, so check out this one minute video which gives you a better idea/feel of how beautiful this print actually is. Remember to watch it in HD if you can, makes all the difference.



For those of you who did miss out on the first batch of pre-orders, just to pre-warn there will be a limited second batch of pre-orders available (7 in total) to newsletter subscribers only, this evening around 7-8PM. Further details in our newsletter.

Price is steep but this is one of the best releases in a while. Biased because I've bought one. But have been wanting a print in a gold ornate frame and this is the clear choice.
